About me

I started my Wikimedia journey as a volunteer on the German language Wikipedia in January 2014. I was soon intrigued by the possibilties and chances of the technical side of Wikipedia and very fascinated by the people working on the projects. Nowdays you can find my volunteer self mostly acitve on Commons. For several years I was an employee of the Wikimedia Foundation. I studied social work and have quite a bit of work experience in that field as well as some training in therapy and counseling. In my free time, when I do not work for Wikimedia Projects I also try my hand at poetry.

My work

Since December 2024 I am a member of Wikimedia Foundation Board of Trustees.
