About me

Bridging technology, education, and community, Dickson Kojo Anane is a Program Officer at Open Foundation West Africa, fostering open knowledge and the preservation of Afro-heritage through digital tools. Passionate about mentorship and collaboration, he works to make Wikimedia projects accessible and inclusive across Africa.

My work

As Program Officer at Open Foundation West Africa, I coordinate wiki skills initiatives and campaigns such as the Africa Wiki Challenge, Shine Her Light, Kiwix4Schools Project, and AfroCreatives WikiProject, all aimed at promoting open access learning. I am passionate about building communities of passionate open knowledge enthusiasts. I do so by organizing workshops, edit-a-thons, and outreach activities that strengthen Wikimedia projects like Wikipedia, Wikimedia Commons, and Wikidata.
