Japanese Wikipedia reached 100,000 articles at February 11th (See ja:Wikipedia:10万項目達成 and Wikimedia_News#February 11, 2005). The growth rate seems to be slightly slower than before 75K milstone passing. We got 6 new administrators and 1 user is now on RfA. There are 34 admins. 8 new Wikiportals were created and 9 are under construction. There are 21 regular portals. Some of Wikiportals work out to develop articles and stimulate community works.

After massive attacks using OpenProxy at November, Linky-ja, a bot rewritten by User:Tietew, had been introduced into the Wikipedia and autoblocking OpenProxy users. Now this function has been stopped because of unexpected and undesirable blocks happened. We have been discussing this issue. e-Goat 23:00, 26 Feb 2005 (UTC)
