- To emergency shutoff the bot, change main switch true -> false.
GSRbot only monitors the GSR page, and removes (or, archives) processed requests. This archiving has some condition, it removes page deletion requests only if requested page is deleted, removes block request if requested account is blocked/Globally blocked/locked. Removes any request from opted-out wikis. This is the only task the bot does. A revert can make the bot scared for 5 minutes.
Exception
- The bot will not remove protection requests (case insensitive) and revoking talk page access requests, which needs manual review, so such request to GSs should be made properly,
e.g. * Please protect/salt [[:en:b:Example]]: reason.~~~~
* Please revoke/remove tpa/talk page access {{LockHide|1=Example|2=mw:}}: Vandalism.~~~~ The bot will not remove readded requests within 6 hours.- The bot will stop monitoring GSR page for five minutes if it gets reverted (this is mainly for making a short time to report meta admins in case it is malfunctioning or causing harm.)
- If you don’t want a request to be archived by the bot just add
(no bot)with the request. Example:

* Please delete [[:en:b:Example]]: reason. <!--(no bot)-->~~~~, or
* <!--(no bot)-->Please delete [[:en:b:Example]]: reason.~~~~ - Bot will not parse requests with sub-bullets (**).
