Hi,
I'm a software engineer and C++ specialist, and have been a Wikipedia editor (mainly on the English Wikipedia) since about January 2006. I've found the hard way that major edits to articles will most often result in a waste of time, since the entry will keep changing and deteriorate again along the way. That was the reason why I stopped contributing for a long while. But it later occurred to me that, perhaps, I shouldn't have engaged in major edits, and that I could avoid stress and still be useful by limiting myself to "small things". So, I'm now back making small fixes, when I spot something that can be improved with relatively little effort (I also avoid looking too closely at my watch list :-)).
