This page coordinates the event WikiGoesLindaSec one of the three events under Wiki Goes to Livingstone Zambia. We will have a four day conference at the Linda Secondary School in Livingstone, Zambia.

Goal[edit]

The goal of the conference is to offer the students of Linda Secondary and other attendees an introduction to the behind the scenes of Wikipedia. The use of Wikipedia for research is quite high (as common for students of all kind) but one can rarely find knowledge about the way the information is put on Wikipedia.

Furthermore, the following is planned:

Improvement of the article Linda Secondary School added of photos and more history.
Photowalk around Linda Secondary and Linda compound; pictures to be used inside of the article and on Wikimedia Commons
Establishment of a WikipediaClub or something comparable to enable Linda Secondary to continue training students be able to host upcoming events.

Where?[edit]

This is will be at Linda Secondary school in Livingtone. This will be the first place to host one of 3 events under Wiki Goes to Livingstone Zambia.
