About me
I am an art historian and museum researcher based in Berlin. In June 2025 I joined the team Education Policy and Digital Cultural Commons of Wikimedia Deutschland e.V. as Manager Digital Cultural Heritage. Before that, I worked for several years as a researcher in a project called Museums and Society - Mapping the Social, conducting a case study on the relevance of digital museum collections for critical museology. My book on this research came out in October 2025 as Museen und die Utopie der Vernetzung (print and open access).
My work
Our focus in the Digital Education, Democracy and Culture team is to support cultural practitioners in the German context to use the Wikimedia projects to build Linked Open Data. We achieve this through partnerships, consulting and community support. You can find out more about the work of my team here: https://www.wikimedia.de/projekte/offenekulturdaten/
