My Work
I have more than 15 years of experience working with international NGOs, with a focus on communications, project management, and digital rights. I joined the Wikimedia Foundation in March 2022, where I'm part of the Movement Communications team. I started as a Senior Communications Specialist focused on the Middle East and North Africa, and since August 2024, I've been serving as Manager, Global Movement Communications.
My work centers on building bridges between the Foundation and communities across MENA and beyond — leading regional communications strategies, driving cross-functional projects, and supporting knowledge equity through inclusive, multilingual engagement. I lead the Movement Communications translator network of more than 45 translators working across 30+ languages, and I provide team leadership and mentorship to help scale communications efforts in line with the Foundation's strategic goals.
My main focus remains on supporting communities, creating strong networking channels, and helping expand access to free knowledge around the world.About Me
