About me

I am a member of the Board of Trustees (conseil d’administration) of Wikimedia France, elected in November 2025 and serving until November 2028. Find me on the Wikimedia projects at @Baidax.

My work

I enjoy editing Wikipedia, Wikidata and Wikimedia Commons. I am particularly interested in the richness of locally scaled knowledge, architecture, medicine, and the development of technologies in the healthcare sector. For Wikimedia France, I am mostly involved in the territorial anchoring strategies of our projects and in advocacy issues.

Spreading free knowledge

[edit]
My video about the map of France in precious stones for Wikipedia 25.

Watching the Wikimedia projects grow, and belonging to the generation that has always known them as part of our environment, helped me understand how central contribution is, and pushed me to commit fully. Over time, I realise that our model needs to be defended, strengthened in its effectiveness, and better understood beyond the assumptions the world projects onto it. Free knowledge, and the circulation of that knowledge, is what makes the general interest possible in a world that is increasingly connected, where fields of expertise are becoming more transversal and interdisciplinary. In an era shaped by artificial intelligence, geopolitical tensions, and less visible challenges such as the growing specialisation of content, our projects must earn trust, deserve credibility, and be actively supported. Above all, they must continue to highlight the Human dimension! Whether in a small town, to anchor a Wikimedia presence locally, or within the highest spheres of regulation, this engagement matters. As Wikipedia reaches its 25th anniversary, I hope our projects will be recognised not only as useful websites, but as essential civic institutions.

Involvement in events

[edit]

Committed to free and universal knowledge, I frequently take part in community meetings and events, both in the French-speaking world and internationally. On these occasions, I lead workshops and give presentations[1]; for instance, I spoke about locally scaled knowledge during the 2022 edition of the WikiConvention Francophone[2].

These events have also allowed me to take part in wonderful projects, including serving on the jury for the 2025 edition of Wiki Loves Monuments Ukraine and helping to relaunch Wiki Loves Monuments France in the same year.
