Hi, my name is Juliana Monteiro and I am trained as a Museologist. I have been working in the museum sector for 10 years and since 2016, I work as a GLAM project coordinator of UG Wiki Education Group.

In 2016, I coordinated, along with my coworkers at the time, the first project where a Brazilian museum - Museu da Imigração de São Paulo - decided to share its digital imagens and other material related to its holdings on Wikimedia Commons. I was responsible for Wiki Loves Monuments 2016 - Brazil, along with my coworkers from the UG too.

I am also a teacher of Museology and I have established as a long term objective to invite my students to take part of Wiki moviment as volunteers.

I am very interested in helping Brazilian GLAM institutions to know better the opportunities of Wiki projects. I am also very interested in helping to promote open access and open knowledge in all the ways I can - in Brazil and abroad.
