What it does
[edit]NellyBly bot helps move selected Telegram discussions onto public wiki pages while minimizing attribution and stores identifiers.
It can:
- publish a group message selected with
/logto a configured Meta-wiki page with pseudonomyzation; - publish selected text plus supported image media with
/logmediawith pseudonomyzation; - transcribe group of messages sent privately to the bot as a discussion on the group meta page under a random per-session pseudonym;
- let group admins configure the target page, consent policy, GitHub repository, event rules, capture settings, LLM settings, and scheduled analyses;
- optionally archive opted-in group or channel messages for public summaries and statistics.

Privacy summary
[edit]By default, the bot only processes messages explicitly selected with commands and messages sent directly to it. It does not store Telegram usernames, display names, or user IDs for default logging and DM transcription.
Capture-enabled deployments are different: Telegram privacy mode must be off so the bot can receive ordinary group/channel messages, but the code stores them only for chats that have explicitly opted in.
Captured authors are stored only as per-chat pseudonym labels, not as Telegram identities.
Full details: /privacy.
Public and permanent output
[edit]Anything published to Meta-wiki is public and effectively permanent through page history, dumps, mirrors, and edit timestamps. The bot can hide Telegram attribution labels, but it cannot anonymize words that identify their own author.
