About me
I am an active Wikimedian from Kazakhstan since 2025. I contribute to, Wikimedia Commons, Wikidata, and Wikisource. My interests include open knowledge, youth engagement and cultural heritage documentation.
My projects include "Wiki loves villages Kazakhstan" 2026 as one of the organisers.
My work
My Wikimedia work focuses on documenting Kazakhstan's cultural and natural heritage through Wikipedia, Wikimedia Commons, and Wikidata. My photographs on Wikimedia Commons receive thousands of views every month, helping illustrate articles and making knowledge about Kazakhstan more accessible worldwide.
I am the founder of ReFood, a youth-led initiative that aims to reduce food waste through technology. The project won the UNDP Kazakhstan Climate Doesn't Wait competition and represented Kazakhstan at the 3rd International Youth Climate Festival in Thailand.
I also coordinate youth initiatives promoting open knowledge, biodiversity documentation, and climate literacy. Through workshops, edit-a-thons, and community outreach, I encourage young people to contribute to Wikimedia projects and share environmental knowledge under free licenses.
Currently, I am conducting research on how Wikimedia content contributes to AI by identifying knowledge gaps in Kazakhstan's digital knowledge infrastructure. My goal is to strengthen openly licensed climate and environmental information so it benefits educators, researchers, policymakers, AI systems, and the wider public.
As Coordinator of the International Department of the North Kazakhstan Regional Youth Senate, I promote international cooperation and youth engagement in sustainable development. I also plan to document regional climate events, including LCOY Kazakhstan and RCOY Central Asia, through Wikimedia platforms to ensure their outcomes remain freely accessible for future learners and volunteers.
