Overview
[edit]On 15 January 2001, Wikipedia was launched with a simple yet ambitious vision: to make knowledge freely accessible to everyone. Over the past twenty-five years, it has grown into one of the world's largest collaborative knowledge platforms, built and maintained by a global community of volunteers.
Wikipedia has transformed the way people access and share information. From classrooms and research projects to everyday learning, it has become an integral part of the modern knowledge ecosystem. Its influence extends far beyond its own website, supporting education, journalism, and countless digital platforms around the world.
To celebrate Wikipedia's 25th anniversary, Wiki Club SATI is organizing a community gathering that brings together students, educators, and knowledge enthusiasts to reflect on the platform's remarkable journey and its impact on free knowledge. Through discussions, lightning talks, cultural activities, interactive games, and community engagement, the event aims to celebrate the values that have made Wikipedia a global symbol of collaborative learning.
