In alphabetical order:
There are no stupid questions!
[edit]

If you registered someone else's voice, the file is still entirely your own work, see here (German language)

File Format - best?

[edit]

Preferably .ogg. .wav is also possible, but the files are larger (see here (German language))

Place - best?

[edit]

As far as we can see, there are no strict rules about where exactly to put an audio in a Wikipedia article. Sometimes it is placed in front of the IPA, sometimes behind, see examples here, here oder here. To let people immediately know to pronounce the name they have just read, the place right behind the name might be the best choice.

Word order?

[edit]

How do we best deal with audio files for language versions where given names are placed behind family names, like Japanese? Example: It's Kyōko Aizome in the German Wikipedia, but the Japanese order is Aizome Kyōko.

Feel free to register both versions and integrate them into the Wikipedia articles at their respective places. Or choose just one of them, if you prefer.
