ScotsBot is a maintenance bot operated by BZPN for use on the Scots Wikipedia.
The bot is designed to support language maintenance by performing low-risk and clearly defined tasks. The primary purpose of the bot is to reduce routine maintenance workload for human editors.
Tasks
[edit]ScotsBot performs the following categories of tasks:
Language tagging of articles with heavy or exclusive English content- Maintenance tagging (e.g. stubs and unsourced articles)
- Welcoming new contributors after their first content edit
- Generation of maintenance and quality control reports
- Whitelist-based lexical and header normalization approved on-wiki
