About me
I'm a developer from India. Most of my Wikimedia work is on the technical side: the wiki our user group runs, and the small tools around it that nobody notices until they break.
I got here through WikiClub Tech UU, where I still help newcomers land their first patch. Mostly PHP, some Dart. I finished my BCA at United University in 2025.
My work
I work on the technical side of the Deoband Community Wikimedia User Group. That covers the wiki itself and the tools the community depends on day to day, including the portal that issues event certificates and the system behind its scholarship and fellowship calls.
The thing I keep coming back to is what happens to a project after you make the repository public. Publishing code is the easy part. Making it something another person can actually run is not.

Work
[edit]- DCW Certificate Portal
- Issues verifiable digital certificates for community events. You upload a blank PDF, drag the fields onto it (participant name, credential ID, QR code), then generate the whole batch from a CSV. Every certificate carries a public verification link, so anyone can check whether one is genuine. I built it because paid credentialing services are out of reach on most community budgets. Source, MIT. A few other communities have forked it since.
- DCW Engage Portal
- The intake system behind DCW's scholarships, fellowships, internships and volunteer calls. Dynamic forms, role-scoped organiser accounts, and no public sign-up, since it holds applicant data. Vanilla PHP 8 and MySQL with no build step, which keeps it easy for someone else to pick up. I wrote most of it.
- wikimedia_dart
- A Dart package for working with Wikimedia APIs, aimed at people building applications rather than gadgets. My own project, published on pub.dev.
- dcwwiki.org
- The user group's MediaWiki instance. I work on its configuration, skins and extensions. Source
Community

- Mentor, and part of the core team that trains new contributors. Walking someone through their first Gerrit patch is still my favourite part of this. Several of them have merged changes in MediaWiki core and extensions since.

- Co-founder and Vice President of a national student coding club.
- Developer communities
- Volunteer with GDG Prayagraj, TFUG Prayagraj and Solana India. Meetups, contribution drives, the occasional hackathon.
Recognition
[edit]Winner, Smart India Hackathon 2025. I led the team through to the national round.
Eight other wins and placements since, including first place at Uhack 2.0 against IIIT and NIT teams, and a top 100 finish in the Google Developer Solution Challenge (India). Most of what I know about shipping something on a deadline came out of these.
