@SanderO: I’ve semi-protected en:Wendell Brown because of the obvious single issue accounts. None of these accounts seem to have edited that recently so there is not much en.wiki admins will normally do. If you have concerns about other articles that have a conflict of interest/promotional editing you can make a report at en:WP:COIN. If you have concerns about active accounts socking on en, you can leave me a message at my talk page there or here on meta.

As you issued the original global lock on him, can you say what got Elbasyouny (who has never been blocked on any wiki) globally locked for "Cross-wiki abuse" and eventually a WMF ban or does it involve private stuff like CU data? Please help reverting the advertisement on ar.wiki. This edit is of good faith. The link leads the readers to the gambling site (possibly hacked) and the text is an advertisement for the gambling site. However, the edit got reverted by a local rollbacker. Hello, a while ago you participated in a feedback round about a proposal how accidental clicks on the rollback link could be avoided. Thanks again for sharing your thoughts and ideas!
Looking at the feedback and the rollback situation in different wikis, the development team decided how to approach this wish: As a default, most wikis won’t have a confirmation. But users who wish to have one, can enable it in their preferences, which will add a confirmation prompt to the rollback link on the diff page and on the list pages. The prompt won’t be a pop-up, but an inline prompt like for the thanks confirmation. Vandal at viwikiquote: request to ban IP range

Thank you for your ban of the IP 14.232.112.206 indefinitely in vi.wikiquote.org. As it is a dynamic IP, he will come back. Please help by banning the IP 14.232.0.0/16 for a week instead, and release the indefinitely ban of that IP.

Hello @Mehman97: Global IP block exemptions not affect local IP blocks and local rangeblocks; for which a local IP block exemption is needed, and it allows the user to bypass global IP blocks, global rangeblocks and TOR exit node blocks. Hello @Hedda Gabler:, yes, you have GIPBE, but you should notice that GIPBE does not affect local IP blocks and local rangeblocks; for which a local IP block exemption is needed, so you should ask for local IP exemption in enwiki and commons, and as you've the global one, I think it'd be easier to take the local one --Alaa :)..! 19:54, 1 September 2018 (UTC)

The reason I was banned on Turkish Wikipedia

Hello. I now realized @HakanIST: alleged I am banned due to sock puppet account. That is not the case, the reason I was banned for was objecting to un-encyclopedic content on Wikipedia, now another superviser came and we co-analyzed it and turned out I am right. The article is updated based on my points and objections. Nothing is done as a sanction on those who abused their power. They banned me for no reason. I asked @Sakhalinio: over and over again on why he banned me, which of my actions violated any of Wikipedia rules and he did not state anything. If you understand Turkish you can check his talk page on Meta. He does not state any reason, they just ban me for opposing their political agenda and that is all.

The opposition, which was consisted of admins and patrols of Turkish Wikipedia, kept on publishing their version without explaining and responding to issues I raised. After I insisted on discussing the matter, an admin banned me.

And on their alleged investigation, they have not alleged me of any sock-puppet account there. Take a look at the investigation, of no account I am accused of there. Turkish Wikipedia defines sock-puppet account as follows: "An extra account used for improper use." I have asked them several times what improper purpose did I use any account for? No reply, they are just banning me and dismissing everything.

I have reported all the abuses of Turkish Wikipedia's authorities' to @HakanIST: on his talk page, he did even not bother to supervise the conflict. --Ruhubelent (talk) 13:12, 5 September 2018 (UTC)
