Hi, Patrick. It's me here. http://tinyurl.com/uh3t
I followed the documentation link from http://www.zimpedia.com and am having trouble finding the appropriate documentation for various questions I have.

I looked in Help:Editing but I don't see any information about where to find the talk pages. Some pages have a link called Discussion, which I presume takes me to the corresponding talk page, is that correct?

Yes, that is right.--Patrick 10:37, 16 July 2005 (UTC)[reply]

I want to know how to create new pages, but the documentation about page names is horrendously complicated. Is there a CGI application where I could type in a proposed page name and it would check the fifty or so different rules you can't do this you can't do that and tell me exactly what's wrong with the proposed page name, or if I did nothing wrong then tell me my page name is validated, sort of like the HTML validator service ? So once I decide on a valid page name, do I just make a dummy link to the name as if it existed, and then click on it, and MediaWiki will automatically create an empty page by that name and then take me to that page?

The rules are needed if you want to use special characters, normal text always works. Yes, that is how you make a new page. Welcome and good luck.--Patrick 10:37, 16 July 2005 (UTC)[reply]

I had another question but forgot what it was.
