Your essay, Sei kein Idiot, does not appear to be within meta's policies. Was this your own or did you translate it from somewhere else? Ottava Rima (talk) 22:16, 26 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Ottava
The essay is not my own work, it's a translation of Don't be a dick, of which currently 6 translations exist; I translated it into German. The original essay and all of it's translations seem to be inside of Meta's scope, no? Honestly, I don't know, but it's there and it is linked by several wikipedias and has, obviously, not been deleted. I haven't linked it to the essay, yet, because it had still been completely unformatted and I hadn't checked coherence and language, which I planned to do today. I assume, I should have given the edit summary in English and not in German.
Looking forward to hearing from you. 217.235.233.231 07:18, 27 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I gotta say, meta's deletion process is extremely quick. Deletion in less than half a day from creation. ;D 217.235.233.231 07:20, 27 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
We were trying to translate it and we couldn't come up with a comparative. If you want to repost the essay, put {{Template:Don't be a dick/lang}}{{essay|specifiedcategory=Essays related to Wikipedia}}__NOTOC__ at the top of the page so we can see it as a translation. That would make it known that it is not just some person complaining about jerks but is a translation of an official Wikipedia complaining about jerks. :) Ottava Rima (talk) 13:47, 29 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
