[edit]Hello, Anohthterwikipedian. Welcome to the Wikimedia Meta-Wiki! This website is for coordinating and discussing all Wikimedia projects. You may find it useful to read our policy page. If you are interested in doing translations, visit Meta:Babylon. You can also leave a note on Meta:Babel or Wikimedia Forum if you need help with something (please read the instructions at the top of the page before posting there). Also worthwhile acquainting yourself with the functions of global user pages. Happy editing!

File move
[edit]Hi, please consider keep the same title when you're moving a file to Commons, as like the one File:Ernie distribution.png, which were moved from File:Ernie.png, or consider updating the pages with proper titles. Thank you, 🪶-TΛNBIRUZZΛMΛN (💬) 04:09, 11 March 2026 (UTC)
- Why are the files moved at all? Krd 07:45, 12 March 2026 (UTC)
- @Krd: So that they can be used outside of just Meta‐wiki.

- Will this old stuff be used anywhere? Krd 10:36, 12 March 2026 (UTC)
- @Krd: I don’t know, but then again, most of the media on Commons have no transclusions despite being in scope. What I do know is that the media I have uploaded is in scope, having been released under a free licence and also having been transcluded in a non Talk, User, Draft, or sandbox page.

HTML entities
[edit]Why are your comments (this one, for example) full of HTML entities, some even used incorrectly (like fi)? NguoiDungKhongDinhDanh 22:51, 23 March 2026 (UTC)
- I use HTML entities as I otherwise can’t type specific glyphs, and I don’t bother finding the glyph and copy-pasting it. I’ll stop if that’s not encouraged.
- Anohthterwikipedian (talk) 22:58, 23 March 2026 (UTC)
- Why can't you type such glyphs? Punctuations are one thing, but you can clearly type both f and i separately (I’ll stop if), so why use
fi? NguoiDungKhongDinhDanh 11:47, 29 March 2026 (UTC)- @NguoiDungKhongDinhDanh: Personal preference, as I prefer
fias opposed tofi. - Anohthterwikipedian (talk) 19:37, 29 March 2026 (UTC)
