Feedback for your SRG requests
[edit]Hello, thank you for helping SRG. Your SRG reports like Special:Diff/28034651 are too simple and do not have enough details to be processed. In the future, please try to add more details to your SRG reports. You may also want to read the instructions at Steward_requests/Global#Requests_for_global_(un)lock_and_(un)hiding again. I hope this can help you. MathXplore (talk) 23:58, 27 December 2024 (UTC)
- I understand; thank you for the clarification! ⯎ Asteralee ⯎ 04:53, 28 December 2024 (UTC)
Want a fabulous Wikipedia?
[edit]Hello! Hope you're doing great (✿◠‿◠) I finally fixed my custom CSS for a colorful Wikipedia experience, which means that I'm finally ready to share the code (o゜▽゜)o☆
- ⯎ Instructions ⯎
- They look like LLM instructions, but I promise I wrote them myself lol.
- Open Wikipedia from your PC or laptop, it's way harder on mobile.
- Open User:Dream Indigo/global.css (for future reference, I'm talking about this version) on a new tab.
- Now choose only one road, then go to point 4:
- You are using Vector Legacy, also known as Vector (2010): copy everything!
- You are using a different skin, such as the new Vector 2022: only copy up until "Vector Legacy (2010) ONLY", because you don't need the following code. Just a heads up: it won't be nearly as colorful as the other option, because I'm not familiar with other skins, so I haven't written a code for them (yet).
- Now paste it (without saving yet)!
- If you want the same default look everywhere, paste it on User:Asteralee/global.css. I suggest doing so, this way you'll have a beautiful interface every single time, not just on your favourite wiki!
- If you want a specific look for a specific wiki, paste it on simple:User:Asteralee/common.css (replace "simple" with the wiki you want).
- You can also do both things for different looks :D
- Be careful not to accidentally delete some comma or bracket or it won't work.
- Replace the colors with your favorite colors, experiment with gradients (or replace them with a single color if they hurt your eyes on the long run) and have fun! The "color" parameter changes the text color, not the background.
- Remove the parts you don't care about.
- Always preview before saving, cause what if you don't like the look? :O
- Save and enjoy your new Wikipedia experience!

- In the meantime I added a white shadow, which is kinda ugly, but I need it for contrast until I find a lighter color palette to use as my background (but I'm lazy so yeah). Remove it if you don't need it cause it becomes a little annoying after some time lol (unless of course you like it). It's the same shadow you see on my user page. ✩ Dream Indigo ✩ 16:16, 4 April 2025 (UTC)
- Wow, thanks Dreamie! I'm gonna try it out now (❁´◡`❁) ⯎ Asteralee ⯎ 00:34, 5 April 2025 (UTC)
- No problem! And if you try it out but you don't like it anymore, all you have to do is empty the page! 😊 ✩ Dream Indigo ✩ 07:42, 5 April 2025 (UTC)
- Also, looking at the {{User Discord}}, it looks like it's really out of place in your fab userpage :( So I fixed the code to make the colors customizable, and hopefully my code didn't go wrong. Enjoy!! ⯎ Asteralee ⯎ 13:15, 5 April 2025 (UTC)

The OCD flag
[edit]I just wanted to ask you if the OCD flag is designed by you because i couldn't find Another place where this flag is mentioned and when you click on the flag on the OCD Wikipedia page, it takes you to your page, so I just wanted to ask. And if so: Oh my God, tusm. It's so beautiful and it's just sacred that it has a flag and awareness has grown! <333 Liel.koral4711 (talk) 01:22, 10 April 2025 (UTC)
- @Liel.koral4711 Hello! Yes, I designed the flag :) ⯎ Asteralee ⯎ 11:23, 10 April 2025 (UTC)

Birthday Mode not on Vector Legacy
[edit]
Hii! To celebrate the 25th birthday of Wikipedia, they created a "Birthday Mode", but I've just discovered that it's not available on Vector Legacy (or maybe I just didn't see it lol). In your custom CSS you mentioned Vector Legacy, so I am assuming you are using it as well. If you do, you should try the 2022 version for a while so you too can see the most adorable Baby Globe!! I am so sad I hadn't discovered that earlier, it is the cutest thing `(*>﹏<*)′ Vector 2022 is a bit ugly imo, but Baby Globe is worth it, I promise. See you around! (✿◠‿◠) ~ Dream Indigo ✩ 02:47, 24 February 2026 (UTC)
- Whoops I didn't mean to insult Vector 2022, I just meant that it's a bit boring when you are used to custom CSS for Vector 2010. If a developer is reading this, I am so sorry, I really didn't mean it that way. ~ Dream Indigo ✩ 02:51, 24 February 2026 (UTC)
- Hii! I just turned on Vector 2022; Baby Globe is SO adorable! Totally worth it <3333 ⯎ Asteralee ⯎ 16:09, 25 February 2026 (UTC)

CSS variables
[edit]Hii! Hope everything's amazing! I have just found out how to use color variables to customize way more things with way less CSS lines! See my global.css page. Today I don't feel like customizing anymore, so it's still a WIP, but there are so many more variables! Truly a game changer. We don't have to set a color for every single thing anymore. I feel very silly for not discovering them any sooner, but to be fair I am self-taught, so nobody ever told me XD I don't gatekeep (o゜▽゜)o☆ Oh my, I feel so embarrassed thinking that IT students are going to read this and laugh at me for discovering boiling water XD Sorry nobody ever taught me any of this! Bye bye! ~ Dream Indigo ✩ 15:29, 22 June 2026 (UTC)
- Hi Dreamie! I'm doing well, how about you? I was always wondering if there was a way to shorten the code and still get the job done, but I'm forgetful af and I never remember to look into it. Thank you so so so much, I can't wait to try it ☆*: .。. o(≧▽≦)o .。.:*☆ ⯎ asteralee ⯎ 20:53, 22 June 2026 (UTC)
- Everything's fine, thank you (✿◠‿◠) Of course, no problem, and sorry for the late reply. Happy editing, have fun with the code! Also your new lowercase signature is so pretty! ~ Dream Indigo ✩ 12:08, 25 June 2026 (UTC)
