Fund drive
[edit]The start of the fund drive has been delayed for at least a few days. The reason is to give us more time to prepare more translations, a press release, donor feedback mechanisms (such as automatically listing new PayPal donations), and work on next quarter’s budget. Sorry for the late notice on this. I will update the translation coordination page with the finalized start and end dates after the board decides that on their Friday 9 December meeting. --Daniel Mayer 21:34, 8 December 2005 (UTC)
My mistake
[edit]Thanks for fixing my mistaked edit at Help_talk:Magic_words ... At the moment I realized what was happened I tried to undo it.
I'm just learning how these wiki things work, and I copied some pages on my private server to 'train' in real. But I didn't realized when I edited that page here, untill it was too late.
Hello
[edit]Trust in Wikipedia
[edit]this is Cathy from Hong Kong working on a research about trust on Wikipedia. I wonder if you would kindly contact me at researchingmedia@gmail.com? I'd like to chat with you about Wikipedia of your language. Would you kindly drop me your email or IM (Skype, MSN, AIM or ICQ)? It wouldn't take more than ten minutes, but it would help enormously for us to understand the overall trust-based social landscape of Wikipedia. Thank you!
Translation Request (2 sentences)
[edit]For the front page of the Novial Test Wikipedia it would be nice to have a Bahasa Indonesia translation of the following 2 sentences:
<>
Welcome to the Wikipedia in the Novial language!
You can read about the international auxiliary language Novial here.
<>
See the original request at Wikimedia Incubator here.
Which flag or other symbol may I use next to the Bahasa Indonesia translation? (I am using flags as far as possible.)
Thank you, Nov ialiste 18:31, 16 September 2006 (UTC)
Could you help us to figure it out? I suppose it is in Malaysian or Indonesian... --Aphaia 00:07, 5 May 2007 (UTC) http://meta.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?title=User_talk:Borgx&action=edit§ion=6

Join us for “Many Tongues, One Movement: Voices Across Languages”!
[edit]
Hello Borgx,
We’re excited to invite you to an inspiring global virtual gathering: the first Capacity Exchange Translat-a-thon.
Together with Language Diversity Hub, the Capacity Exchange (CapX) team will host its first Translation Marathon dedicated to ensuring linguistic equity in access to this amazing tool aimed to connect Wikimedians.
If you enjoy contributing to Wikimedia projects through translating and adapting content into different languages, this event is for you! Join us in the celebration of the multilingual spirit of the Wikimedia Movement at an event where communities that contribute in diverse languages will be able to share local knowledge and collaborate across borders.
Many Tongues, One Movement: Voices Across Languages
- Date: December 6, 2025
- Time: 12 PM (UTC) - Check the event page for your local timezone
- Location: Online (Meta-Wiki + live session links)
If you can’t join the live event, you can still contribute to the translations! Edits will be counted for two weeks, until December 20th. And everyone who participates will receive a special badge to display on their CapX profiles.
