Now is the time for all good men to come to the aid of their country.

I can not believe I remembered this. My dad was a "Clerical Typist" in the Air Force, at some point he instilled it in me, IDK. Good memory though .

This is a standard (at least then it was) typing exercise while learning typing.

Your feedback is requested

Hello FlightTime, We are conducting a poll of global renamers and stewards regarding some future toolings related to some rename requests. Your feedback is requested at the poll on VRT WIKI. Best regards, — xaosflux Talk 00:18, 17 January 2024 (UTC)Reply

@Xaosflux: I no longer have access to VRT wiki. - FlightTime (open channel) 00:23, 17 January 2024 (UTC)Reply
@FlightTime hmmm, thanks for the note - wonder if this will be the case for many others we invited; the poll has some private components at this time. — xaosflux Talk 00:30, 17 January 2024 (UTC)Reply
@Xaosflux: If it's pertaining to the WMF stuff on the renamer mail list, I prolly don't know enough about that to even comment. - FlightTime (open channel) 00:34, 17 January 2024 (UTC)Reply
Yes, its about that. — xaosflux Talk 00:39, 17 January 2024 (UTC)Reply
@Xaosflux: Just a thought, maybe global renamers should have access to VTR wiki, it wouldn't be so bad to have a private medium. - FlightTime (open channel) 02:19, 17 January 2024 (UTC)Reply
Wonder if the VRT admins are not giving access to vrtwiki to everyone with a ticket account anymore? — xaosflux Talk 02:41, 17 January 2024 (UTC)Reply

Quick query

@Xaosflux: Quick query about permissions, I do a lot of file work on en, it would be helpful if I was able to delete orphaned non-free versions on many files I come across with rename requests. Would Global deleters give me the ability to do so? - FlightTime (open channel) 15:19, 27 January 2024 (UTC)Reply

@FlightTime from a technical perspective, yes. From a policy perspective, enwiki policy doesn't allow for that. From a practical perspective, you have 0 chance of being granted access to that group (almost no one would be). The right answer to how to get the ability to delete local files on enwiki is to get sysop access on enwiki. — xaosflux Talk 17:03, 27 January 2024 (UTC)Reply
Yeah I kinda thought that, but had to check. Thanx again. - FlightTime (open channel)
