Thank you for Karelian code! --Untifler 13:46, 9 Apr 2005 (UTC)

Language template, how to implement that?

[edit]

Cool these language boxes. Is it possible also in de.wikipedia.org?

Tiontai

Er... I don't know. It wasn't my idea, these boxes, but I saw it once in the Recent changes and I thaught "Why shouldn't I do that too?". So, they are also om my user-page. See the categories for other users who use this system. Greets, Belgian man 20:32, 30 Apr 2005 (UTC)

Tokelauan Wikipedia

[edit]

Hi, You supported the previous attempt to create a Wikipedia in Tokelauan, would you be interested in supporting the new one? if you are here is the link Requests for new languages/Wikipedia Tokelauan 2

Of course, I am an established Tokelau editor at the Dutch Wikipedia and a strong supporter of the creation of a Tokelau Wikipedia. Maybe I will learn some Tokelauan to be able to contribute myself. Greetings, Belgian man (nl na en) 07:39, 11 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

Hello and Happy New Year

[edit]

Hello I'm Claudi Balaguer (User Capsot from the Catalan Viquipèdia and Occitan Wikiccionari). First of all Happy New Year, I wish you and your family all the best for 2011 and that the minorized and endangered languages will be able to survive and grow as long as possible. While writing to Gerard Mejssen I just noticed some of your messages and realized that you seem to intervene often to help minorized languages and thus I wanted to tell you that the Catalan Viquipèdia will be celebrating its 10th birthday soon (http://ca.wikipedia.org/wiki/Viquip%C3%A8dia:10_anys_de_la_Viquip%C3%A8dia) and that we are working on it and plan to have some sessions directed towards getting some wikipedias out of the incubator and you may be interested in participating: http://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Teamwork_of_projects_in_languages_with_singular_status. I'll let you know more of the project if you're interested since right now it's still at the beginning... I think you know the situation of Catalan and I also want to tell you that we have been working on the creation of a Catalan Chapter which hasn't been accepted until now because we don't have a state. We think that this condition is unfair for all the Wikipedias of small, minorized or stateless languages and if you think our cause is just you can sign our Members and Supporters' list: http://meta.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?title=Wikimedia_CAT/Members_and_Supporters&action=edit. Again, my best wishes for 2011. Take real care and keep on fighting for minorized or stateless languages! Claudi/Capsot 21:58, 10 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

I supported the creation of a Catalan chapter and for the moment, I look forward to hearing from the minority/endangered languages project. (I put myself on the list.) Greetings, Belgian man (nl na en) 07:53, 11 January 2011 (UTC)Reply
