Banner[edit]
Hi Grunt,
I made an alternative banner for Wikimania. I think it suits better to the corporate design of Wikimedia. Perhaps we should set up a page to discuss this issue. What do you think? -- Arne (akl) 10:20, 5 Nov 2004 (UTC)
- I flew my own banner design I had made by the organisers on IRC, and they all seemed to approve of it. It would probably be best for a) you to do the same with your own banner or b) put the banner design up to a vote. I personally don't your design (it strikes me as being much too, shall we say, big business-y due mainly to the font) but I can't make the decision on my own. I'll also point out that the web version of the banner doesn't appear to fit the Web standard size of 468x60. Out of curiosity, is there a properly scalable version of your banner? -- Grunt 14:56, 2004 Nov 5 (UTC)
- Sorry, I thought your banner was ment as a first draft. I didn't want to confuse or annoy you, I only tried to improve your idea. I did't know that the banner already has been approved. My draft are made with Macromedia Freehand, so they're fully scalable. -- Arne (akl) 19:46, 5 Nov 2004 (UTC)
- Don't worry, I'm not confused or annoyed. We can always use more banner options, after all. :) -- Grunt 20:00, 2004 Nov 5 (UTC)

Nomination for deletion[edit]
Hello Grunt. I've nominated several files for deletion, some of which you uploaded. If you'd like to comment, please see the nomination. Thanks. —{admin} Pathoschild 02:27, 15 December 2006 (UTC)
Your account will be renamed[edit]
Hello,
The developer team at Wikimedia is making some changes to how accounts work, as part of our on-going efforts to provide new and better tools for our users like cross-wiki notifications. These changes will mean you have the same account name everywhere. This will let us give you new features that will help you edit and discuss better, and allow more flexible user permissions for tools. One of the side-effects of this is that user accounts will now have to be unique across all 900 Wikimedia wikis. See the announcement for more information.
Unfortunately, your account clashes with another account also called Grunt. To make sure that both of you can use all Wikimedia projects in future, we have reserved the name Grunt~metawiki that only you will have. If you like it, you don't have to do anything. If you do not like it, you can pick out a different name.
Your account will still work as before, and you will be credited for all your edits made so far, but you will have to use the new account name when you log in.
Sorry for the inconvenience.
Yours,
Keegan Peterzell
