explora57: I saw your name on my page where I wanted to make an article about Petar Turković. I had couple of complaints and your intervention when you restored the page I wiped out. I am a begginer on wikipedia, and I need someone to help me make this first page properly, so I can learn how to do it professionally. I want to do it in English too, so if you can help me to do the Englsih one, then I can translate it in Croatian.

@Explora57:I don't think wiping out a page then create a new one is a good choice, I consider you should merge your edits into existing one, unless the original contents is pure vandalism. Yeah, that I am hell sure, it's not first time on mr projects and not first time for Tiven2240, it has happened all the time, that, polls were turned by socks of various LTA's operating on mrwiki. It's just that, since last few polls we have been actively identifying and opposing them. Their earlier poll on mrwikipedia [1] had socks too, it's just that, we didn't realize it at that time. @QueerEcofeminist: I mean they use alphabets as the prefix and ended their usernames with numbers, this is a part of my consideration when dealing with zhwiki's CU request. Please note that I'm not saying they are suspicious because the username is affected by several causes. --Hamish 18:10, 16 May 2020 (UTC)

Hamish, Definitely pattern in usernames alone can't be seen as validation for socking, But nice observation though. For me, they working on the same set of books and making easy to make minimum edits and at the end voting on poll is enough. Additionally we have [2] this person voting in support, which makes me extra doubtful about the whole thing. Renaming

Hi, I recently put in a rename request here, it seems the username I want to use is already taken but the user only 8 edits on wikibooks and hasn't used their account in 5 years. Is it possible for me to change my username to that one? Debitpixie (talk) 13:33, 31 July 2020 (UTC)
