On Oct 31, 2015, Khalid Mahmood, the lone sysop of Western Punjabi Wikipedia passed away. As the Wiki was in a chaotic state, I pursued the case for adminship of Abbas Dothar. Danish, another active Pnb Wikipedian also put his name up for adminship whom Khalid had referred in an interview I took of him. Glad that Western Punjabi Wikipedia now has two admins

It is sad that Khalid sahib died .His contributions to punjabi are not forgetable .

You suggest that I put my name for adminship for pnb.wiki .

Muzammil Shabib, Thanks for UR help & intrest in progress of pnb wiki .

In future pnb wiki needs your help.

I personally need your help ,because I want that pnb wiki will run progressly & smoothly in future.

Now the mejorty of pnb wikipedian are not very active (from last mounths).Thay write very few articals from last mounths.

I send massages to them (about admiship) , but exapt Obaid Raza (urdu wikipedian of punjabi background, some times write articals in pnb) & Sianf (سیانف) no one reply me (because all thay are not appers on pnb).Obaid shows his support and sianf say that she should want to know other pnb wikipedians opinion.

So guid me what to do in future .

Abbas ji,

You need not worry - Sanjeev Kumar admin of Hindi Wikipedia applied for adminship of Hindi Wikibooks and Wiktionary - he also became admin there mainly because there was no opposition (no one voted for him, there were no active members there).

Pnb Wiki represents a similar picture.

The other option, if you would like, you can try for two admins - you and may be one active member of pnb.

The advantage of this could be you will get one vote - may also be required to vote for one more person.

Muzammil Sahib,

I put my name at local villag pump named Baithak[1] .I think no one know it (due to pnb wikipedian less activation on wikipedia).If I personally requist ,I think, many of them vote for me .Quistion is that Baithak is right place for this or some where else (as in case of Khalid sahib[2]).--Abbas dhothar (talk) 14:43, 6 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Obaid Raza wants to show his support for me ,he says that he reach at this link:pnb:ویونت:بیٹھک#Adminship but he think is this link or place for Adminship poll right ,According to him in urdu wiki and many other wikis there is separate page for Adminship poll.

For the moment, Obaid has given his vote in your favour.

What the stewards see is whether the candidate has the community support or not.

Once you are the admin, you can think about having other project pages on your Wiki.

New situation[edit]

Salam Muzammil Sahib.

Danish put his name for adminship and suddenly get support of several members ,many of them were not active from many years on wikipedia. I think he has there contect numbers and askes on fon for support and they give there support to him .When I send message to danish and some others to talk for the pnb wikipedia's future ,no one except Obaid & Sianaf appers on wikipedia. Now I think it is better to withdraw from adminship ,because there are only 4 or 5 active members and they all show there support . What you suggest on current situation .I am not so intersted in adminship but in the betterness of Punjabi wiki.

The good thing is - nobody opposed your candidature. So you stand a chance of becoming a sysop.

Danish sahib was an admin on Pnb for one year (See Khalid Sab's interview) but he lost the position because of inactivity.

So I suggest you staying back in the admin poll.

Thanks Muzammil sahib for your big help ,I am inactive for 10 days due our locol election & my father's flight to Amarica . It is only due to your help and guidness that I become Admin on my punjabi wiki , plz. guide me in future for the progress of punjabi wiki .
