Board elections: Does my vote count?
[edit]Hey IAlex,
Today I received the following mail (in German):
From: board-elections@lists.wikimedia.org
Title: Wikimedia Foundation Elections 2009
Lieber ThE cRaCkEr,
So I voted as described at these sites, but now I discovered that I need at least 600 edits total. But as you can see here [1], I only have a few more than 300.
The mail says that I was allowed to vote (there was no error message and I have a saved the log at the end of the voting procedure), the rules prohibit it. Who ist right? Did I receive the mail accidentally?
If my vote is invalid, I will deliver you all information you need to count it as such.
Thanks in advanced,
--ThE cRaCkEr 21:17, 8 August 2009 (UTC)
- It seems you're not the only one in this case, but for the moment I can't answer you about what will happen with your vote. iAlex 20:47, 10 August 2009 (UTC)
- I'm happy with the results, but just for interest: Did it count? --ThE cRaCkEr 15:25, 16 August 2009 (UTC)
- No, we stroke all votes for users that were not qualified to vote. This was due to an error in the script that counted the number of edits for each user (basically it counted some edits twice). iAlex 18:34, 16 August 2009 (UTC)

Problem with Planet Wikimedia
[edit]In this edit I asked for inclusion for my blog to the Polish Planet. It was done by WarX at 12 April. The problem is, it doesn't work - my blog is not listed under "Subskrybcje" (subscription) at Polish Planet. Is there something I have to do to activate it? Thanks in advanced, --Teukros 19:29, 23 April 2010 (UTC)
- Same problem for DainDwarf and me on the French planet. Nojhan included us in the 65109 revision but our blogs do not seem to be listed. Jastrow 15:18, 30 April 2010 (UTC)
- Same problem with my PMG blog on polish wikiplanet. PMG 23:27, 14 May 2010 (UTC)
- I opened bug 23530, will see what's going on. iAlex 13:14, 15 May 2010 (UTC)
- Should work fine now. iAlex 12:49, 16 May 2010 (UTC)

Inclusion
[edit]Dear IAlex, I'm Aubrey from it.source. I read only today the reply to my request for inclusion. Could you tell me how I can create a feed only for the "wiki" category of my blog? I understand now that the only existing feed is the global one. Thank you for your attention. --Aubrey 07:52, 14 May 2010 (UTC)
- Ok, I found the problem, you need to put the "feed" in the URL after the category/tag and not before, thus the correct URL is http://aubreymcfato.wordpress.com/tag/wiki/feed/ and not http://aubreymcfato.wordpress.com/feed/tag/wiki/. I added your blog in r66421. iAlex 15:00, 14 May 2010 (UTC)
Planet Wikimedia
[edit]Just a courtesy note that I and another editor have recently added requests to Planet Wikimedia. Andy Mabbett (Pigsonthewing); Talk to Andy; Andy's edits 14:49, 11 February 2012 (UTC)
- Yes, I just executed both requests. iAlex 14:50, 11 February 2012 (UTC)
