Request to be unblocked[edit]
{{unblock|I was blocked on all wikis until 2024 by Jon Kolbert. The reason given is "No open proxies". I believe I'm accessing Wikipedia through an open proxy ''unknowingly'' due to the default settings of my browser or ISP. Another reason could be that my IP address frequently changed because I don't have a permanent home address. I assure the community that I don't abuse Wikipedia. I am not a malicious user either. The history of my contributions will prove it. My current IP address is 202.137.115.11 and the block ID is #337020. Hoping to hear from the admins. - billinghurst, thanks for the response. It's my first time to be blocked, so I do not know much about this situation. I've checked Global IP block exemption and most of them were from countries where Wikipedia is restricted by their government, so I'm not sure I fit in that category. In my situation, I think another person has the same IP address and has been doing bad edits. I checked the edit history of the said IP address. Two of those were indeed mine (Francisco Nemenzo Jr. on 20 January 2021 and Snooky Serna on 15 February 2021), and those occurred because for some reason, I was logged out of my account while I was editing. You can see in the edit history of those articles that I logged back in to continue editing. The other edits were not mine, especially on List of animal welfare organizations. Is Global IP block exemption still the appropriate place to request for unblocking? No open proxies says it's quite unlikely for me to be unblocked. Users may request access to global-ipblock-exempt at Steward requests/Global permissions. 2nd attempt.

If I am indeed accessing Wikipedia through an open proxy, it might have been due to the default settings of my browser or ISP. However, my computer's "use a proxy server" setting is "off". I assure the community that I don't abuse Wikipedia. I am not a malicious user either. The history of my contributions will prove it. A steward, billinghurst, responded to my first request and I'm thankful for that. However, they suggested to post my request at [[Steward requests/Global permissions]]. I tried to, but due to this block, I cannot post at [[Steward requests/Global permissions]]. That's why I made this second request as this is the only place I have access to (I can't even post at my own English Wikipedia talk page).

- Unblock will not work; this is a local request and local administrators cannot utilise. Please use your email to contact stewards per Steward requests/Global => stewards

- @billinghurst Thanks for responding again. I tried the email option. I have a valid and confirmed email address with my Wikipedia account, however, it seems that the block applies to it as well. Are there other options?
