I removed Linaeus from the "boat list" since he was already on the "international top 1000" list. Or doesn't it matter if there is a certain overlap? / Kristo

By the way, I agree that the number of interwiki links does give a clue, but we should try to make sure we agree what the list is about - is it internationally famous stuff related in some/any way to Sweden, or is it things that sort of "define" Sweden? Oxygen is proably the single most appreciated substance discovered by a Swede, but I'd hesitate to put it on the list. Suppose an artist was born in Sweden but moved abroad before achieving even moderate success, then becoming famous for work done in other countries, would that still a major candidate for the list? Suppose an extremely famous non-Swede would be married to a Swede, and therefore move to Sweden upon retirement and become a Swedish citizen would that be a candidate? Suppose a product, person or concept is extremely well known in Sweden but basically unheard of outside Sweden, should that disqualify? / Kristo
