Canvassing
[edit]In your comment over at the RfC you complain that I "committed canvassing". While that might be true in a strict sense, it is required by the global ban policy:
- "4. Inform the community on all wikis where the user has edited about the discussion through a prominent public venue. Be sure to stay neutral in your communications and avoid any defamatory, inaccurate, or exaggerated commentary."
esWP certainly was one of the communities in which the user was recently active, so I had to inform them. --Sense Amid Madness, Wit Amidst Folly (talk) 13:31, 25 July 2019 (UTC)
- @Sense Amid Madness, Wit Amidst Folly: Thanks for your information, I'm sorry for accusing you like that. I should check meta policies better. Greetings.--SRuizR

- No problem, nobody can know every single policy. Thank for editing your comment! Greetings, Sense Amid Madness, Wit Amidst Folly (talk) 15:38, 25 July 2019 (UTC)
Thanks
[edit]Your vote has uplifted my spirit. I try to obey all rules and I will make only constructive edits.--Meister und Margarita (talk) 18:19, 13 October 2019 (UTC)
- @Meister und Margarita: Hi, you're welcome! I'm sincerely sorry for my first vote, I was unexperienced at that time, it was definetly arbitrary. You have the potential to continue being an excelent wikimedian. I see you were trying to make harmless jokes assuming good faith but other users didn't find it funny. I sincerely hope the users you had trouble with are able to forgive you. I think you deserve another chance in the projects you were expelled from (unfortunately I don't know if sysops there agree). I'm glad I helped you. Kind regards!--SRuizR

If you enjoy contributing to Wikimedia projects through translating and adapting content into different languages, this event is for you! Join us in the celebration of the multilingual spirit of the Wikimedia Movement at an event where communities that contribute in diverse languages will be able to share local knowledge and collaborate across borders.
Many Tongues, One Movement: Voices Across Languages
- Date: December 6, 2025
- Time: 12 PM (UTC) - Check the event page for your local timezone
- Location: Online (Meta-Wiki + live session links)
