Updates from Capacity Exchange (CapX)!
[edit]
Hello Lymantria,
My name is Joris Darlington Quarshie, and I am an Outreach Facilitator for the Capacity Exchange (CapX) — a platform for finding and connecting with peers to exchange knowledge and skills on a global level.
CapX is a community-built tool, designed by and for the Wikimedia Movement, to make it easier for Wikimedians across the world to find and connect, collaborate, and exchange skills and knowledge with peers.
If you don't know it yet, I invite you to access capx.toolforge.org and create your user profile with your Wikimedia account. But, if you already have a profile, I invite you to check out the new features and possibilities we just launched. I am sure you will be delighted.
CapX's new version incorporates valuable community feedback gathered over the past months, including the Organization Profile - a feature for Wikimedia affiliates, initiatives, or community groups to create their own CapX presence (see here how to create yours).

Hello, would it be possible for you to hide the username you added here yesterday? I ask because it doesn't seem to be letting me do that, so I figured I'd ask here. Thank you. JeffSpaceman (talk) 11:10, 18 May 2026 (UTC)

Sockpuppet
[edit]Hello Lymantria,
I saw that I was blocked on Commons and Wikidata, and that I am on Meta-Wiki for sockpuppeting. I know I made a mistake by creating multiple accounts, but the other accounts I created were made when I first joined Wikipedia and did not have much experience. It was a stupid mistake, and I take full accountability for it.
When I was blocked for the WikiEdWoq account on English Wikipedia, I knew that what I was doing was wrong, so I took a break from Wikipedia. The thing is, I found myself really enjoying contributing to Wikipedia, especially to Moroccan articles, which often need a lot of work. They either lack information, are outdated, or are not written in an encyclopedic style.
Three months after I was blocked, I created this current account. I never created any other accounts after that, as I understood that it was a very bad thing to do. I did recently make changes with the WikiEdWoq account, but only on articles I had worked on with that account before creating this one. Still, I should have stopped, and I deeply regret reusing it.
I never used other accounts to influence a vote or anything like that. Now, when I think about it, I do not even understand why I did it. What I am trying to say is that I deeply regret creating multiple accounts, especially when I first joined Wikipedia, and I would like to be given a second chance if possible or if there any path to explain my position.
Thank you.--Mixinlord (talk) 01:36, 22 May 2026 (UTC)
- Your main account has been Amaar017. Both at Wikidata and at Commons you have user talk access with that account. At user talk pages you can request unblocking that account using {{Unblock |1=<reason/explanation> }}. Given your history with multiple accounts, the request might well be denied. Also, I requested global lock, which is not yet granted. If a global lock is put on your accounts, then you'll have to request lifting the global lock at stewards_AT_wikimedia.org. You'll have to give a very strong explanation to convince the stewards. --Lymantria (talk) 10:35, 22 May 2026 (UTC)
First global unblock for my account AbchyZa22
[edit]@Lymantria:Hi,firts,i answer can i go to the Steward requests/Global for global unblock?? (Google translator) AbchyZa22 (talk) 10:00, 16 July 2026 (UTC)
- For a local unblock at wikidata that is unnecessary. --Lymantria (talk) 11:07, 16 July 2026 (UTC)
- @Lymantria:How a month can I request for global unblock, only Wikipedia and meta is not any sanction? (Google translator) AbchyZa22 (talk) 11:40, 16 July 2026 (UTC)
- I was explained in the other discussion that an admin at wikidata can override the global block. You can ask stewards whatever you want, but that is not up to me. --Lymantria (talk) 11:42, 16 July 2026 (UTC)
- @Lymantria:where is "I was explained in the other discussion"?? You explained in wikidata?? (Google translator) AbchyZa22 (talk) 11:54, 16 July 2026 (UTC)
- Yes, see here that Count Count explained me. You know what to do AT WIKIDATA, not here. --Lymantria (talk) 11:58, 16 July 2026 (UTC)
