Sunday July 28 Strategic Wikimedia Affiliates Network meeting (Results of Movement Charter ratification)

Hello everyone!
The Strategic Wikimedia Affiliates Network (SWAN) is a developing forum for all Wikimedia movement affiliates to share ideas about current developments in the Wikimedia Movement. It expands on the model of the All-Affiliates Brand Meeting to help lay some of the groundwork for further Wikimedia 2030 strategy process work.
At this meeting we will focus on the results of the Movement Charter ratification. We will also discuss the aftermath of the Board of Trustees' decision to veto the Movement Charter, including their recent proposals. We will also cover updates about upcoming Wikimania 2024.
This month, we are meeting on Sunday, July 28, and you are all invited to RSVP here.

Copyright footer on Wikimedia Georgia user group's wiki
Hi, as announced in previous Tech News, we're changing the copyright footer messages on all wikis to use wikitext markup instead of requiring editing raw HTML (T375789). I have been able to update the messages on most wikis, but I do not have access to edit https://ge.wikimedia.org/. Could you please edit https://ge.wikimedia.org/wiki/მედიავიკი:Wikimedia-copyright-footer to customize the new wikitext message, and then delete (or history-merge) the old HTML message at https://ge.wikimedia.org/wiki/მედიავიკი:Wikimedia-copyright? Get started with the Lua interface to simplify the preparation of modules for translation in MetaWiki
Greetings!
The Language and Product Localization team has developed a Lua interface to simplify the preparation of Lua modules for translation in the MetaWiki platform. This means that module developers can now use the new Lua interface to load translatable strings, and the translators can translate them in the same translation interface that is used for templates and wiki pages.
This improvement makes it easier for translators to find and edit module strings without dealing with raw Lua code. It helps prevent mistakes that could break the module during translation.
We invite you to watch our demo video and read more about translatable modules to understand how it works. Please give us your feedback on this talk page on how well the Lua interface addresses the challenges in your workflow and how useful it is in module localization tasks. You can also refer to Module:User Wikimedia project, which was recently converted to utilize these messages, for example usage.
Your feedback is important as it will help us evaluate and decide how to continue developing and improving this interface, extend it to other wikis, or change our approach.
