Hi Minh! There is a global press release that needs translation, and an upcoming newsletter which would love to hear from you about how the Vietnamese WP is doing. Check out Translation requests for newsletter info, and feel free to add info on the Viet WP at Talk:Wikimedia Newsletter. +sj+ 23:02, 5 Sep 2004 (UTC)
- Thanks for your work so far! Note that an even larger language that currently needs lots of help is es: ! (maybe b/c a lot of potential contributors are at enciclopedia libre? I don't understand why we have so many es: translators... ) +sj+ 06:22, 6 Sep 2004 (UTC)
Could you help me write a note (in Spanish) to the es: contributors about the newsletter and press release? +sj+
- Alright, I'll have time to do something short. What is it you want me to write? – Minh Nguyễn (talk, blog) 20:18, 21 Jan 2005 (UTC) 18:01, 11 Sep 2004 (UTC)
The newsletter is complete now; please update any translations of its sections. +sj+ 11:49, 17 Sep 2004 (UTC)
Hello Mxn, I think there's a misunderstanding about the role of Wikimedia News and the localized versions (and the reason why I set the redirect). The vietnamese page isn't supposed to just contain infos about the vi projects but on all projects. It should serve the community of vietnamese editors to inform them about the goings-on in all projects. That was the reason why I set the redirect: vietnamese people don't look here on meta, they look in the projects they work in. For news about the projects we have a different page: Reports - I would be happy if you could write a little bit about what's going on in vietnamese wikipedia and the others projects there. Important news (like when you reached a milestone) should go on Wikimedia News in english so that people from other languages can pick the news up and translate it to their local news pages). greetings --Elian 01:09, 9 Nov 2004 (UTC)
