Gratitude and curiosity

Thank you so very much for fulfilling my name change request. I do have a question for you. When I am not logged in to the English Wikipedia, for example, my previous contributions in revision histories (e.g., Microsoft Office 2010) use my former name; however, after logging in my new name is displayed. Is there any way for my new name to always be displayed? —(Ian Wolfman (talk) 19:29, 12 February 2018 (UTC))Reply

The Community Wishlist Survey

Hi,

You get this message because you’ve previously participated in the Community Wishlist Survey. I just wanted to let you know that this year’s survey is now open for proposals. You can suggest technical changes until 11 November: Community Wishlist Survey 2019.

You can vote from November 16 to November 30. To keep the number of messages at a reasonable level, I won’t send out a separate reminder to you about that. /Johan (WMF) 11:24, 30 October 2018 (UTC)Reply

Advice needed

Hi, just wondering how can you do such nice summaries "requesting speedy deletion, G7)"as well as leaving a note on creator talkpage. Is it some script or what?Thanks!--Cohaf (talk) 12:16, 13 November 2018 (UTC)Reply

@Cohaf: I tag pages with a modified version of User:Hoo man/Scripts/Tagger. Welcomes and notices are done manually. Nihlus 12:19, 13 November 2018 (UTC)Reply
I didn't know that even existed, I'll give it a try. Thanks--Cohaf (talk) 12:33, 13 November 2018 (UTC)Reply

Question

Hello, Is it allowed to change username before 6 months of the last change? Thanks. --Dr-Taher (talk) 15:45, 27 February 2019 (UTC)Reply

@Dr-Taher: It's up to each renamer's discretion, essentially. Standard practice is to do no more than two in a six month period, although you may do what you want if it is in the best interest of the user and you believe they are not making repeated frivolous requests. Also, be sure not to process requests for users from wikis where you may be unfamiliar with the policies. Nihlus 15:53, 27 February 2019 (UTC)Reply
