Citing sources on Wikipedia[edit]

Hi! I noticed your edit on the Wikipedia page Community fridge. Thanks for improving it. Just a reminder to read Wikipedia's policy and guidelines on citing sources, especially regarding the usage of the Cite news or cite web templates. Also, as per WP:CITESTYLE, "Wikipedia does not have a single house style, though citations within any given article should follow a consistent style," which is provided in the aforementioned templates. Thanks again! PatTag2659 (talk) 10:11, 24 April 2021 (UTC)

Got it. Thanks for letting me know! --Pare Mo (talk) 02:04, 25 April 2021 (UTC)

Hola. List of Asian Jews[edit]

Hi Pare Mo. I'd like to appeal to you about removal of Philippines. The sources do cite their Jewishness. Most of the members are Jews by ethnicity. Mike Hanopol is both an ethnic Jew and a believer in Judaism.--Jondel (talk) 11:11, 31 May 2021 (UTC)

Hello Jondel. I think this article would do a better job of explaining the criteria for belonging according to different perspectives. As for Hanopol, thanks for bringing him up. I was actually hesitant about removing his name from the list given that Messianic Jews, of which Hanopol is a rabbi, also have their own criteria for belonging, but then not even the category for Messianic Jews is listed under Category:Jews by denomination. I leave it up to you, then, to decide whether he should be placed back on the list and, by extension, whether Category:Messianic Jews should be placed under Category:Jews by denomination.
Regarding descent, this hardly equates to membership in an ethnic group, and this is especially true of Jews, for whom membership requires more than just self-identification. The status of the Ten Lost Tribes comes to mind here. --Pare Mo (talk) 08:04, 31 May 2021 (UTC)

Edit Warring on Elazar Shach[edit]

I noticed you are edit warring on Elazar Shach. Please stop this now, and use the talk page to reach consensus. Remember that this page was protected previously, and nobody wants that to happen again. Failure to resolve your issues on the talk page and continued edit warring will likely result in a personal block against you. Winchester2313 (talk) 13:23, 9 June 2021 (UTC)

  • Winchester2313, if you continue edit warring I will be happy to block you, since it's obvious that you are restoring duplicate content--and that's disruptive. Drmies (talk) 13:25, 9 June 2021 (UTC)
    • I simply restored a blanked section that I did not see duplicated on the page. An actual explanation of where the information is duplicated would be more beneficial, don't you think? Winchester2313 (talk) 13:35, 9 June 2021 (UTC)
      • Winchester123, you don't have to patronize me. You might try searching (on my PC that's Ctrl-F) for the phrase "following talk of", and then you'll see that yes, you keep reverting to restorer the same section. So the actual explanation of "where the information is" is IT'S IN THE ARTICLE. Does that help? Drmies (talk) 13:46, 9 June 2021 (UTC)
