Update to commentlinks.js gadget[edit]

I am about to update my comment links gadget to link the comment's timestamp rather than add a separate [ link ] button. If you prefer the old style, that gadget will be available at commentlinks-v1.js. As before, this gadget is experimental and may stop working at any time, see T275729 for the task to make this a proper feature. Thanks, ESanders (WMF) (talk) 12:17, 30 September 2022 (UTC)Reply

Qwerfjkl (bot) 15 trial on the English Wikipedia[edit]

Hi, I am indef blocked on the English Wikipedia and broadly blocked from things on the English Wikipedia. However I am active on Wikiquote which often leans heavily but not exclusively for the existence of English Wikipedia articles for an indicator of notability on the English Wikipedia to confirm the notability of an article subject on the English Wikiquote. Drafticiation and deleltion processes, and therefore NPP & AFC do impact. An action of Qwerfjkl (bot) 15 trial came to my attention while examining a new article on Wikiquote, and I personally am minded due diligence was not made in monitoring the effects of the BOT which combined with a poor AfC comment may have discourged a newish? user. Most would probably argue I am talking nonsense. However please review this thread and this VFD where the bot may have played a subtle but not insignificant measure in the prevention of getting that (notable) article to English Wikipedia mainspace and an indicator that the bot might have discouraged user retention. Thankyou. I argue a diligent trial would be monitoring any effect on user retention and I'm not sure this one did. Thankyou-- User:Djm-leighpark(a)talk 12:50, 31 January 2023 (UTC)Reply
