Stone samples vs. rock samples[edit]

I would like to hear the voice of an expert about this, because it s a question of categorizing correctly.

Is not a rock the petrological feature you find in nature and a stone on the other hand would be a rock which has been worked on by people (like gemstones, gravestones etc.)? So that the petrological samples would be "rock samples" and not "stone samples" Reykholt (talk) 21:24, 10 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
