Новый год[edit]

Здравствуйте, С Новым Годом )---Hayordi (talk) 20:02, 1 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

И вас так же. Ruslik (talk) 17:38, 6 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Excuse me Ruslik0, I'm the user who opened a global checkuser request about an almost certain abuser of proxies and sockpuppets 3 days ago. Okay, I opened it as an anonymous, and then I created an account, but the request is still as I left it. Meanwhile, another pair of IPs belonging to the same ranges have appeared making the same edits in the same pages... I thought such a report on meta.wikimedia would have been considered immediately, afterall it's about a user who's been using proxies since over a month ago and lately sock accounts too, and there's also a small possibility that the sockmaster is an old Italian registered user. Is the fact that this report is coming from an anonymous more significant that the content of the report itself, which I've just repeated? 151.64.168.168 17:17, 12 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Ruslik0, I wanted to add some translations into Template:Done as for Template:Already done. Howevern, since you added a new parameter, I am not sure how to do it. Could you have a look on it? The French translation is "Fait". Thanks in advance. Pamputt (talk) 22:21, 17 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

All templates should be translated using {{Autotranslate}} system. Ruslik (talk) 18:51, 18 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Ok. I do not know this template ({{Autotranslate}}). Could you apply it on {{Done}} so that I can mimic it for the other templates? Pamputt (talk) 14:39, 19 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
I am not involved with any translations on Meta. Please, ask on Meta:Requests_for_help_from_a_sysop_or_bureaucrat. Ruslik (talk) 17:34, 19 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Блокировка моего IP[edit]

Добрый день Хотелось бы узнать причину блокировку моего IP address. Об этой блокировке узнала, когда хотела создать страницу одной из актрис на сайте Википедия.

How to change Namespaces to local language?[edit]

Hi, Dear @Ruslik0:, I have been admin of Sindhi Wikipedia and recently applied for permanent admin-ship as well, I wanted to change the namespaces on Sindhi Wikipedia from English spelled words to their alternative Sindhi words, i.e. Wikipedia to وڪيپيڊيا, as its already namespaces in their local languages such as on Urdu Wikipedia, hope you understand what I am going to ask, if not you may ask me further, Actually I want to change namespaces on Sindhi Wikipedia to Sindhi words, example I have given above. How to change them?. Either I have to translate them or what to do?, kindly help and guide in this regard. Expecting a positive and a dignified role from you.. thanking you...JogiAsad (talk) 08:40, 25 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Alternative namespace names are specified in InitialiseSettings.php. Ruslik (talk) 19:00, 25 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Request global unlock for DragonDance[edit]

Greetings,

I'm requesting an unlocking of my account DragonDance (talk • contribs • block • xwiki-contribs • xwiki-date (alt) • CA • ST • lwcheckuser) for the purposes of appealing my block at the en-wikipedia. I'm locked for "cross-wiki abuse" which stems from me being blocked at Commons because I tried repeatedly to upload a file which I feel is in the public domain and having a disagreement with the admin who was removing it in which I admit to being uncivil, although I disagree with his judgement at the time that i was a "sock of a LTA," as I had used DragonDance on and off at en-wiki since 2007.

I then tried to create another account, Nordicthrash420 (talk • contribs • block • xwiki-contribs • xwiki-date (alt) • CA • ST • lwcheckuser) to upload this file again, with no success. I then used both accounts to edit en-wiki which lead to me being blocked for socking and the global lock placed by you. I would like to appeal my block and hope to continue to contribute positively to motorsport articles on en-wiki. 52.124.92.11 22:25, 29 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

You should stay away from the Wikimedia projects for 6 months without any sock or block evasion accounts, and then appealing your unlock request at SRG first. SA 13 Bro (talk) 22:57, 29 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
To that point, I should disclose that I made the account Thrash92Dragon (talk • contribs • block • xwiki-contribs • xwiki-date (alt) • CA • ST • lwcheckuser) after being locked and made for the sole purpose of contacting the blocking admin on en-wiki as I had initially thought my account was compromised.52.124.92.11 23:05, 29 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
OK, please stop creating the block evasion accounts. NinjaRobotPirate is one of our checkuser admin on English Wikipedia, he has the responsibility to block you for violation in sock, wait after the date on 29 July 2018 without any sock or block evasion, and then appealing your unlock request at SRG first. SA 13 Bro (talk) 23:24, 29 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
There's a bit more to it than what DragonDance said. For one thing, there are several other confirmed sock puppets; see en:Category:Wikipedia sockpuppets of DragonDance. Two of DragonDance's socks (Nordicthrash420 and FiDorrahShukyShuky) harassed Avoided on enwiki ([1] and [2]). Given Avoided's global ban proposal, it's possible there's further trolling on other projects. If there isn't, I guess en.wiki can take care of this disruption by itself. @meta.wikimedia[edit]

My request about Myeuurn and Baka Líte is on meta because they're "cross-wiki" sockpuppets. I've asked for a check in single wikis but they say that I must call on stewards on meta, who have the possibility to check globally, i.e. through different wikis, to find cross-wiki socks. Did they told me a lie? Where should I report a cross-wiki case like this, may you tell me? Or must I give up and let the sockmaster free and unpunished? The deadline for checkuser to access users' data is 90 days, so we have very short time left to check since the user I've reported as the sockmaster's last certain log-in dates back to December: if you can't really do anything yourself to check the very likely connection between that account and the globally blocked sockpuppets on the bases of all I wrote in my request, then at least tell me what should I do to bring my request to justice (both in case he's guilty so he has to be globally blocked too, and in case he's unguilty so he won't have to be suspected again). Tafareste (talk) 10:33, 28 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

"let the sockmaster free and unpunished" What are going to do? To punish him and send him to a prison? Using multiple accounts is not prohibited by any global policy and those accounts have not done anything that may have warranted a cross-wiki check. Ruslik (talk) 12:00, 28 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Ruslik, why didn't you just "answer" my questions? I asked you some information after you closed "that" request for "that" reason, could you please let me know what I need to know? By the way, unless I've misunderstood Wikipedian rules, when sockpuppets are blocked (if they're blocked it means that they were used against rules, otherwise they wouldn't have been blocked, in fact I read "Long-term abuse" as motivation) also the sockmaster who created and used them in that way should be blocked. I'm bringing you the "Long-term abuser" up on a plate, by telling you his main account's name and by showing off the differences between revision linking him to the open proxies and the other socks which are already blocked. I've done most of the work, to complete it it's needed just to check a connection of the IPs between the suspected sockmaster and the blocked sockpuppets. No prison, no punishment, just applying the rules. Or is there a secret reason to avoid checking this particular user? Tafareste (talk) 14:15, 28 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
I do not see any evidence that these users were blocked anywhere. In addition, you understanding of of rules is wrong - presence of socks is generally not a reason to lock an account. There are plenty of cases where the sockmasters are known and not locked. If some accounts are misused on some projects just block them there. In this particular case I do not understand why I should conduct a cross-wiki check. Ruslik (talk) 16:11, 28 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Ruslik, if you tell me that you "do not see any evidence that these users were blocked anywhere", I really don't know to think whether you're making fun of me or need a pair of glasses, since both User:Myeuurn@global and User:Baka Líte@global are globally blocked (as the open proxy 66.160.188.0/24 that they've been using). I've never said that the all socks must be blocked always, I said exaclty "when sockpuppets are blocked...also the sockmaster who created and used them in that way should be blocked". This isn't about legitimate and declared socks, this is about a "Long-term abuse" due to multiple accounts (and use of proxies) which were created to mislead and deceive, i.e. in order not to let admins detect the sockmaster who's been keeping hiding behind his sockpuppets (and proxies too), whose editing was mostly edit-warring for futile reasons such as accents and there was some disrupting too. Now please answer the following question before answering the questions I asked you before: how could such a behaviour, which led to global blocks of socks and proxies, be justified by you? I've indicated the "Long-term abuser" who's currently free to create other socks (in fact he did, even if it was immediately blocked locally) and you, despite knowing that, don't even want to at least make a check to verify whether what I'm saying is true or false? Tafareste (talk) 18:18, 28 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
There is no such thing as global user block. Ruslik (talk) 20:42, 28 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Then I'm starting to think that we live in different universes... Myeuurn: "This account is globally locked. See global account details for more information." & Baka Líte: "This account is globally locked. See global account details for more information." (+ 66.160.188.0/24 blocked globally "Cross-wiki abuse: Leaky webhost, Should you be affected by this block, please contact us"). The last thing I want to think is that you're willingly dodging my questions, that you're talking about anything else in order not to answer my questions, I want to believe that's impossible... Please, show me I'm right and answer my questions, the last one in my previous message in particular, just for this time, then you can restart talking about your meaning of "globally blocked", but answer my questions first, please. Tafareste (talk) 21:33, 28 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks[edit]

Thanks for blocking the sock puppet [3] he is using my name by modifying my user ID i.e. User:Rachitrali and the sock puppet modified this ID as User:Rachitrali0 thanks for this, i am using my personal ID i.e. Rachitrali, the fake ID i.e. User:Rachitrali0 is not related to me. thanks --RAChitrali 04:22, 15 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Checkuser Pending Request[edit]

Hello there, the Greek Wikipedia community is still patiently waiting for the outcome of this checkuser request that was placed more than three weeks ago. The issue still persists and there have been some serious reports of vandalism, personal attacks, even legal threats from users in regards to the latest developments involving the above mentioned user. As you can see in the link, the main user hiding behind these sock puppets is believed to be 'Vrahomarinaner'. As you are probably already aware, Greek Wikipedia has been challenged in the past and this situation appears to be getting out of control again due to recent activity by the listed accounts. Could you please have a quick look and let us know when the result will be published? Thanks in advance. Glucken123 (talk) 15:20, 3 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hey, it'd be really useful if you could send me a quick update. Thanks. Glucken123 (talk) 12:07, 5 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

en.Wikipedia vandal[edit]

Hello.
You may have solid reasons to deem two vandals unrelated – for example, from the check-user data. But with stamping “not done” without waiting for third-party input you implicitly debased opinion of other stewards who might have more experience with this LTA, or different insights. Incnis Mrsi (talk) 21:41, 21 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

That page is not a forum. No discussion is supposed. Only short requests and answers. Ruslik (talk) 19:28, 22 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Cross-wiki LTA Vandyrand[edit]

Hi, I'm LightandDark2000. Can you please Globally Lock a sock account of User:Vandyrandy? This user is known for cross-wiki vandalism, trolling, and Neo-Nazi style vandalism. I've left a report at m:SRG (listed under Vandyrandy). Thanks. LightandDark2000 (talk) 00:57, 3 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

By the way, can you please also look at the "Spambot" request near the bottom of the Global (un)lock list? It's been sitting there for some time now. Thanks. LightandDark2000 (talk) 00:59, 3 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hacker account[edit]

Can you please Globally Lock this account? It's likely operated by the OurMine Hacker group. And even if it isn't, a joke like this isn't funny. LightandDark2000 (talk) 02:30, 5 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

The second account has a similar username, but this one is obviously a vandalism-only account. LightandDark2000 (talk) 02:41, 5 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Bocked IP Range[edit]

Hi Ruslik0, on 07.05.2018 you blocked IP Range 109.40.128.0/24 for one year. That Range belogs to dynamic IP range of provider Vodafone Germany (see whois.ripe.net). Currently my IP (109.40.128.148) belongs to that range and block me to contribute to Wikipedia. Please check IP block, blocking dynamic provider IPs make imho not so much sense. Best Regards unimog404

You should request a Global IP block exemption on SRIPBE. Ruslik (talk) 19:53, 17 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

This was confirmed by checkuser evidence from tlwiki. No doubts here. Ruslik (talk) 20:27, 21 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hello.
I don’t see this acc blocked at any time in tl.Wikipedia. Again, who namely with the language knowledge concluded that Prinsipe_Ybarro = MRY with a reasonable certainty? The technical evidence doesn’t prove much in this case where some relation of Prinsipe_Ybarro to the vandal is evident from multiple sources. As for possibility for doubts, please, bring such disputes to the check-users and clerks of English Wikipedia—these guys definitely have to be trained by somebody like Ruslik0—whereas one Incnis_Mrsi can discern himself which people represent trusted authority on Meta-wiki. Incnis Mrsi (talk) 19:24, 22 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

--sasha (krassotkin) 07:58, 8 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

LockHide[edit]

Should an explanation of this template be added to Steward requests/Miscellaneous/Header? - dcljr (talk) 06:03, 18 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Probably, yes. Ruslik (talk) 06:04, 18 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Hmm. I'm not going to do that myself, since the documentation at Template:LockHide and Steward requests#Cross-wiki requests seems to suggest that lock and hide requests belong on Steward requests/Global. If you think any of the documentation should be changed (to direct users from SRM to SRG for such requests, or to "allow" the template to be used at SRM in addition to SRG), please do so. As a steward, presumably you'd know better than I how the intructions could be improved to reflect how the pages are actually (intended to be) used. - dcljr (talk) 03:06, 20 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
All templates just serve to provide convenient sets of links. Ruslik (talk) 08:45, 20 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Rusliko

Blocked for long term abuse? I have no idea what this refers to as I don't ever recall abusing anything or anyone. I am a professional high energy theoretical physicist and take the core values of wikipedia very seriously. So please provide an explanation as to 'why' you blocked me, my IP is 82.113.121.0/24. Secondly, please unblock me asap.

Thank you, Wakabaloola

This block affects all unregistered users in this range, not specifically you. There were reasons to block this range. You can create an account (from a different range) and use it without any problem. Ruslik (talk) 08:47, 23 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

OK. Thank you for the explanation. There must be a better way to accomplish the desired outcome than simply blocking everyone in the entire range; but I guess there must be a good reason, otherwise you wouldn't be doing it over and over again. Anyway, thanks. Wakabaloola

I was assigned today this IP 82.113.98.254 from my ISP, but it is infinitly blocked due to long term abuse in German Wiki. What can/shall I do? --82.113.98.254 18:45, 7 October 2018 (UTC) Block range is 82.113.98.0/24.--82.113.98.254 18:51, 7 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Несколько вопросов по OAuth[edit]

Inadvertently caught in a range block[edit]

Hi, Ruslik0 - the same range block (2600:387:0:0:0:0:0:0/48) that got me on en.Wikipedia is preventing me from doing my work on Commons. Will you please exclude my iPad IP on Commons? META and OTRS appear to be ok, Fish and karate got en.WP working again, so Commons is the last one. Thanks in advance. Atsme📞📧 03:06, 16 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Rangeblock[edit]

Hello, Ruslik0. I'm a registered user caught in a range block (2600:387:3:803:0:0:0:0/64). I'm currently editing - well, not editing - at Wikipedia EN from 2600:387:3:803::8f, an ATT Wireless address. Can you tweak things to let me through? Thanks. Hi!
Another rangeblock: 82.113.121.0/24, globally long-term. That range seems to be an ip address pool of the isp telefonica for very different kind of mobile users. I would appreciate if that range was unblocked unless it is really needed to be blocked. -- seth (talk) 17:30, 26 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
It is anonymous only block. Ruslik (talk) 20:56, 26 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

The Community Wishlist Survey[edit]

Hi,

You get this message because you’ve previously participated in the Community Wishlist Survey. I just wanted to let you know that this year’s survey is now open for proposals. You can suggest technical changes until 11 November: Community Wishlist Survey 2019.

You can vote from November 16 to November 30. To keep the number of messages at a reasonable level, I won’t send out a separate reminder to you about that. /Johan (WMF) 11:24, 30 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

LTA Avoided ?[edit]

Hi, you blocked User:Bundesministerium der Finanzen Support globally. Did you notice this is a confirmed account at de:wiki from the Webmasters of the en:Federal Ministry of Finance (Germany)? I was in contact with them and I really do not think that was another boring account by Avoided. @DerHexer: Would you please counter-check? --Pentachlorphenol (talk) 19:20, 31 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I locked based on this request. It was not the only account with the same IP. Ruslik (talk) 19:29, 31 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
So you can confirm this account definitely is from Avoided? It was confirmed via OTRS at de-wiki. @Schniggendiller: I do not think this is correct so far. If I am wrong and this single account really does belong to the LTA complex, Avoided would be able to create confirmed accounts using Federal office's names - which should be reported to German law enforcement. --Pentachlorphenol (talk) 19:38, 31 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Behavior of this account does not look constructive. Ruslik (talk) 19:45, 31 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
I agree. Advertising and lack of knowledge on how-to-behave-at-Wikipedia. I contacted them (borderline impolite and disrespectful) and I did receive a signed E-Mail of the company which does the website for the Ministry of Finance. Sender was bmf-support@publicispixelpark.de No signs of hijacked IPs or cracked accounts in the headers. --Pentachlorphenol (talk) 19:54, 31 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Gosh, this is probably my fault. In Log/newusers, the name was hidden by Regi51 (he usually does this with Avoided socks). When I check Log/newusers, I protect user pages & user talk pages of indef’d users. Since at the point of time I checked Bundesministerium der Finanzen Support wasn’t blocked anymore, I had to notice that this account is probably not an Avoided sock (not to mention his contribs, which are not typical for Avoided). I can’t tell why I didn’t notice this.
Please, Ruslik, could you have a look at the checkuser result again? If typical Avoided accounts were created from this IP, well … Was it perhaps an IP from a federal German agency? Even in Federal German agencies there work some %&§$"&&&.
Sorry for the confusion created.
Not my week
Regards --Schniggendiller (talk) 20:16, 31 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
I unlocked it. Ruslik (talk) 20:50, 31 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you.
Ftr: Presumably the reason why this account was initially blocked (by Regi51) was, that Avoided (or his impostor) often creates account names that seem to be "official" at first glance. But of course, there’s no "Bundesbahndirektion" since the Bundesbahn was privatised in the 90s – just to name one example.
Regards --Schniggendiller (talk) 21:59, 31 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks. --Pentachlorphenol (talk) 07:36, 1 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Penelope08[edit]

@Ruslki0: Hello

You blocked the account above on the French Wiktionnary, for being one of mines. That is not correct, I have nothing to do with her. Two years ago, I was myself victim of a such a confusion with vandalist's accounts despite a negative checkusers. And it is for this very previous mistake that I was bloked this year on the French Wiktionnary.

Waiting for more acute investigations,

IP is blocked[edit]

Again a lot of changing IPs from a widespread internet provider in Austria (T-Mobile) is blocked. The IPs are changing (I dont know the technical name for that) but most of them are blocked, so with this blocks you lock out all costumers of the whole internet provider. Unblock this IPs. --213.162.73.157 22:30, 20 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

It is only a narrow range, not all IPs. Ruslik (talk) 20:52, 21 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Objection to removal of rights[edit]

Hi Ruslik0, the Dutch Wikipedia requires an admin to do at least 250 edits in a year. Just looking at isn't enough, you have to also take into account the deleted edits. I know that I have at least until December before I drop under this limit. Please undo your mistake. Multichill (talk) 14:32, 24 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

You should ask local bureaucrats to re-instate your rights. Ruslik (talk) 20:44, 24 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Multichill did so, and Natuur12 re-instated Multichill's rights. But I find it important enough to let you know that the qualification "your mistake" has been challenged by me and others. You did not do anything wrong - nl.wikipedia's policy is open for different interpretations. It is now being discussed there. Regards, Apdency (talk) 20:32, 25 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Why am I blocked? What did I do wrong?[edit]

Dear Ruslik0,

Why did you block me? I tried to update the Wikipedia page of a family member, requested by the person it is about? I did not "abuse" anything, all the information is first-hand-information. I just rephrased some parts and was asked to do a photo update, which I uploaded before with the wrong Licence, then it got deleted, then I tried to do it again with the right one.

my IP adress is blocked on all Wikis.

Blocked by Ruslik0 (meta.wikimedia.org). because of Long-term abuse.

Start of block: 21:40, 28. Oct. 2018 Expiration of block: 21:40, 28. Oct. 2019 My IP adress is 213.162.73.103 blocked IP adress range: 213.162.73.0/24

Please give me some information on how to get unblocked and why I got blocked in the first place!

You are personally not blocked. However the IP range that you use is blocked due to persistent vandalism. Ruslik (talk) 20:32, 26 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Requesting an unblock[edit]

Hello! I got blocked from posting until next year for some foolishness a few months ago. I was actually writing a fictional piece about Medieval Irish history and I ended up making/posting a series of blank articles on the subject since I did not know how to correctly use the sandbox and/or edit Wikipedia articles personally by just editing the HTML and taking a screenshot. It’s been a few months since then and I’ve actually been wanting to get into making corrections on Wikipedia and all (particularly some edits on the article of the Byzantine Emperor Ioustinianos Rhinotmetos.) I went to Wikipedia sign in (having forgot about my shenangigans a few months ago) and discovered my IP was banned until August 2019. The page redirected me to make a plea here so I am not posting this. I apologize for the personal project of mine cluttering this fine website and I’d like to request an unblock so I may contribute to the wonderful History pages on Wikipedia. That’s all, cheers! Anyways, since you're a steward and at the moment I can't reach you via IRC, I want to ask you about my unlock request and if anyone has received it and if they are any updates on it. It's regarding my account. This is the ticket number #2018110110003753. Please let me know regarding this. Thank you. 2601:C5:8180:910:D18E:BAE3:4394:15FB 00:18, 12 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Apology[edit]

Everyone... Let me talk...

It all started in 2014/2015 (I think) when I created a Wikipedia account. I was exaggerating the sizes of UY Scuti at the time. I now know that UY Scuti is only 1,708 ± 192 solar radii.

I came back in June 2017. I wanted to help make useful contributions to the encyclopedia. Everything turned out well for the first 2-3 months. However, things changed. Some users started to argue against me, especially when it came to star sizes.

Then, when I tried to introduce more information, the other users didn't like it and started to want to get me blocked. They succeeded. Why would they pick on me? Yes, why me? Why are they always saying that everyone else is right (not in the case of wikipedia:WP:TRUTH, but in encyclopedic contribution terms) and I am wrong?

But things took a turn for the worse. My archnemesis, Sasha Primerov, started insulting me on wikipedia:es.wikipedia.org . He got both of us blocked indefinitely as a result. My niece, friend, and archnemesis made their own Wikipedia accounts on my computer without my consent. My niece was making disruptive edits to wikipedia:List of largest stars, my friend was editing in bible verses even though it is vandalism, and my archnemesis was making personal attacks. All of our accounts got involved in a sockpuppet investigation and all of them were banned, and my account was globally locked. All of this is the truth.

Everyone...

Please, in 4 months, let me come back. Please unlock my account and inform an administrator to unblock me. Not now, but in 4 to 5 months, to complete the wikipedia:Wikipedia:Standard offer.

My only intention was to help build an encyclopedia. I really don't want to be globally locked. After all, Wikipedia is «the free encyclopedia that anyone can edit.»

I don't hate the people who think that I am wrong and that I should be blocked. I actually like all of you, guys. Just please let me contribute to the encyclopedia.

Please, I promise to never let anyone make a Wikipedia account on my computer again. I also promise that I will avoid the behavior that got me blocked at all times and make useful contributions.

Please, give me a second chance. I am just a teenager living in wikipedia:Russia, and I want to make Wikipedia more reliable than it is today.

I am very sorry for the incidents and thank you very much, in advance.

Reason for IP blocking?[edit]

Hello, Ruslik,

I've been informed, that my IP address (46.211.99.7 from the blocked range 46.211.0.0/16) is currently blocked by you since 20.07.18. May you detalize, what is meant by "Long-term abuse" in my case? Is this a problem of my mobile internet operator - and if so, may it be resolved in some more sophisticated way?

Here is the quotation (in my native language (UKR)):

IP blocked[edit]

Dear Sir/Madam, you have blocked my IP address range (212.95.5.0/24), marked "your current IP address is 212.95.5.218." for "Long-term abuse" Would you please tell me what seems to be the problem here? I am not aware of any "abuse", I am doing proper historical research, I cite all sources. I spent quite some in libraries to find out about this forgotten general. Now that I am retired, I can afford to do so. Isn't wikipedia supposed to be about extending knowledge?

Yours sincerely,
