Bot adding extra SRG clerk notes?
See [1]: Sections like "Global lock for ХРИСЬХРИСЬ" were removed from SRG with one clerk note and archived with two. ~~~~

Concern on robot clerking
I am concerning on Steward_requests/Global/2026-w08#c-MajavahBot-20260222202500-Imperator-Kaiser-20260222201500. This discussion has an unclear goal; steward only replaces the global lock with a global block, and if the user tried to appeal his global block, than this case should not be considered resolved. Better let this be manually handled by a steward. GZWDer (talk) 06:07, 8 March 2026 (UTC)
- See User:MajavahBot on how to have a section not be automatically marked as processed. The bot has heuristics for common cases (e.g. just changing "block/unblock" in the template heading to just "unblock") but it is not realistic to expect it to catch every single case on a high-traffic page like that. I have, however, updated it so it will in the future see the same thing if the letter case in the heading is changed. taavi (talk!) 10:32, 9 March 2026 (UTC)
Information about the recent security incident
Hello, we are sending this message to inform you that your account was one of 97 registered Wikimedia accounts affected by malicious code as part of a recent security incident. This occurred only because you visited Meta-Wiki at a specific time.
This incident was caused by a malicious user script "worm" that was unintentionally activated during a security review by the Wikimedia Foundation staff. The worm modified MediaWiki:Common.js, causing Meta-Wiki visitors to edit or delete various pages during the approximately 23 minutes that this worm was operational.
We have analyzed the malicious user script and reviewed our internal and public logs. We have found no evidence that your account credentials were compromised, or that your account was used to conduct any other actions on Wikimedia projects besides editing or deleting random pages. We have no reason to believe that Wikipedia was under attack, or that any information about your account was breached as part of this incident.
All edits caused by the script have been reverted, and the deleted pages have been restored.
We apologize for any disruption this incident caused you, and are working to prevent this kind of incident from happening again. You can learn more about that security work, and further details about this incident, on our project page.
Regards, on behalf of the Wikimedia Foundation Product Safety and Integrity team, SGrabarczuk (WMF) (talk) 17:18, 26 March 2026 (UTC)
MajavahBot: marking sections as done more often on SRG
Hi! Thanks so much for MajavahBot! I have one request. I usually search for "in progress" to find open tasks and often find done sections which are not marked as such yet. So it would be a great help if the bot could mark already done requests a bit more often, for example every five minutes. Is that possible? Count Count (talk) 05:30, 28 April 2026 (UTC)
