Hi, Telex. Supposedly you are (only) active on English Wikipedia. I'd like to notice you this is not a subsidiary of any local project, and has its own rules; here is meta, not English Wikipedia. And here we don't have here 3RR you mentioned. It is nice to suggest other editors to behave nicely, but if you want to mention a certain rule, please mention to rules of meta, not from others which is uncertain to be applied, like 3RR on ENWP. It isn't a good strategy, because every project don't share such detailed rules and some of them, including English Wikinews has no 3RR. There is no such rule. Precisely, no such written rule. But I also agree on that blocking on you and your fellow editor was fairly reasonable because of your edit war; you can behave badly, even if you break *no written rule*. And if you bother other editor, then you might know your deed is not welcome. I suppose you can apply this general observance to your particular case. In a nutshell, not every unforbidden thing is accepted nor allowed. Edit wars are so.

Your account will be renamed

Hello,

The developer team at Wikimedia is making some changes to how accounts work, as part of our on-going efforts to provide new and better tools for our users like cross-wiki notifications. These changes will mean you have the same account name everywhere. This will let us give you new features that will help you edit and discuss better, and allow more flexible user permissions for tools. One of the side-effects of this is that user accounts will now have to be unique across all 900 Wikimedia wikis. See the announcement for more information.

Unfortunately, your account clashes with another account also called Telex. To make sure that both of you can use all Wikimedia projects in future, we have reserved the name Telex~metawiki that only you will have. If you like it, you don't have to do anything. If you do not like it, you can pick out a different name.

Your account will still work as before, and you will be credited for all your edits made so far, but you will have to use the new account name when you log in.
