Follow up on my request for 2FA

Hi TenWhile6,

This is a reply to your ping regarding my request for 2FA. My appologies if this is not correct way of responding, but I am a rookie in the Wiki Universe.

Regarding your question whether I am aware of the risk associated with 2FA, the answer is yes. I use 2FA/MFA on a number of other services and I know to keep my recovery credentials safe but available, if need be.

Hopefully this is enough for proceeding with my request, if not please let me know.

You are not a vandal and I never called you a vandal. Your article is not accepted on this wiki because this is a coordination wiki, not a content wiki. Normally I would advise you to go to srwiki and edit there, but you are blocked there. Therefore I doubt that there is any place where you can put your article right now. Compatibility of XReport with jawiki

I see you've been working on making XReport compatible with jawiki. I just wanted to let you know that your draft version will unfortunately encounter a bug because the section indexes of ja:WP:AN/I are dynamic, not static (like 10).

To achieve the compatibility, you'll need to:

• Identify the title of the section that is open at the time the new report is to be posted, and
• Determine that section’s index somehow.

On the report page, sections are grouped in 5-day intervals. For example, if I submit a report today (June 2, 2025), it should go under the "June 1–5, 2025" section (in Japanese: 2025年6月1日 - 5日新規報告). You can find an example of a generator function here. After identifying the section title, you'll then need to find its index. In my case, I use a hard-coded offline section parser, but of course, you can also do this using the API.

Get started with the Lua interface to simplify the preparation of modules for translation in MetaWiki

The Language and Product Localization team has developed a Lua interface to simplify the preparation of Lua modules for translation in the MetaWiki platform. This means that module developers can now use the new Lua interface to load translatable strings, and the translators can translate them in the same translation interface that is used for templates and wiki pages.

This improvement makes it easier for translators to find and edit module strings without dealing with raw Lua code. It helps prevent mistakes that could break the module during translation.

We invite you to watch our demo video and read more about translatable modules to understand how it works. Please give us your feedback on this talk page on how well the Lua interface addresses the challenges in your workflow and how useful it is in module localization tasks. You can also refer to Module:User Wikimedia project, which was recently converted to utilize these messages, for example usage.
