Wikimedia CEE Spring[edit]

Hello Texaner, I've seen that you removed yourself from the list of local organisers of CEE Spring. What was the reason for that? Is it lack of time on your side or lack of willingness from the community to participate? I hope we can make sure that Hungary participates! --Lord Bumbury (talk) 13:42, 4 March 2016 (UTC)

Re:Strategy Talk[edit]

Hi. Our discussions are divided to track A (affiliates, like WMHU) and track B (online communities, like hu.wikipedia). You may choose to coordinate track B only. WMHU board can act only within track A. SGrabarczuk (WMF) (talk) 16:40, 10 April 2017 (UTC)

Sorry, I don't understand. I'm not the WMF, I'm just a Wikipedian hired for 3 months by WMF. If I wrote something that's unclear to you, please ask me, but don't blame entire WMF. I think by I don't want encroach in activity our new Wikimedia board, you may have meant I don't want to interfere with our chapter's board scope. Chapters' boards may coordinate track A discussions (discussions for their members' and bodies, like general assemblies), but you, as a user, are totally free to coordinate discussions on Wikipedia, Wiktionary, Wikisource etc. The boards are not. At most their individual members as ordinary users. Is there still anything unclear? SGrabarczuk (WMF) (talk) 21:38, 10 April 2017 (UTC)

Invitation to Met Open Access Artworks Challenge (15 May - 30 June)[edit]

We'd like to invite UNESCO participants to join a new challenge on the same model, the Met Open Access Artworks Challenge. You can contribute by illustrating with images using some of the 375k photos now under CC0, starting or improving articles (try our new Mbabel tool!), or creating translations (if your language isn't listed, please ask!). You can sign up here: Met Open Access Artworks Challenge/Participants. --Pharos (talk) 18:00, 5 June 2017 (UTC)

Extended to Dec: Wikipedia Asian Art Month with Metropolitan Museum of Art[edit]

Suzuri-bako, now in 11 languages!

I'd like to invite you to join Wikipedia Asian Art Month in the December extension of the sub-contest; if you write or translate just one article and include one of our images, you'll get a special Metropolitan Museum of Art postcard. And if you're one of the grand prize winners, you'll get a Met guidebook or Asian art publication.--Pharos (talk) 21:32, 5 December 2018 (UTC)
