Your username can be basically anything you like! Just not the name of a company, a famous person, your real name, or anything really offensive. With more specific search engines like google news and google scholar, finding citations is much easier. If you're too lazy to find citations, there are lots of other ways to contribute, such as fixing typos, removing spam and advertizing, reverting vandalism, or making things more readable.
