The research project investigates a list of articles coming from the work of the WikiProject Climate change.
Data collection
[edit]Every article under investigation is provided with an extensive set of metadata collected through the Wikipedia API with custom Python functions. The following is the list of metadata extracted:
- Article title
- Instance in Wikidata (if available)
- Wikidata ID
- Link to the English version of the article
- Link to the Italian version of the article (if available)
- Link to the French version of the article (if available)
- Link to the Spanish version of the article (if available)
- Total views
- Average page views over the entire life of the article
- Article assessment
- List of Wikipedia categories
- Date of the first edit
- Size of the article (at the moment in which the data was collected)
- Size of the incipit
- Size of the discussion page
- Number of editors
- Number of edits
- Number of warning tags
- Restrictions
- Number of linguistic versions available
- List of article revisions metadata (size and timestamp)
