Rosie Stephenson-Goodknight (https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/User:Rosiestep Rosiestep) is an American Wikimedian and an influential volunteer leaders in the Wikimedia movement. After retiring from a career in healthcare administration and project management, she devoted herself full-time to Wikipedia, where she has created about 6,000 articles and led major initiatives to reduce the encyclopedia's gender gap. She co-founded Women in Red, WikiProject Women Writers, and the WikiWomen's User Group, helping to expand the representation of women across Wikipedia, Wikidata, and Wikimedia Commons through global community organizing. A former member of the Wikimedia Foundation Board of Trustees (2021–2024) and co-Wikipedian of the Year (2016), her work has had a lasting impact on knowledge equity and the visibility of women in the Wikimedia ecosystem.

2007 I started editing.2 months later I become admin Mainilty I create new articles.My focus, 6000 new articles. I starrted on anthroponomy. personal names. Then geographic features of Canada, and Spain. around 2010 I started writing a paragrpaher about women. I noticed list of men's names and with very few women.I thought of translating some biographies. All those men and then a women.I never went to an event with Wikipedians. 2010 i went for the first time in California to an event. It was very interesting. It was 3 years I was editing.Wikiproject women histroy. and then Wikiproject scientists. Wikiproject women artists. Bootcamp in washington dc I was considered a Mid-career wikipedian "I was meant to do that" I am a writer. I made a Wikiproject women writers Publication about women on Wikipedia and they gave a number. 15.35 % we had a numnber. December 2014.Febriary 2015 a men proposed to make conference ad Wikimania about the number and thought it was nice to have a women.Featured speakers. at Mexico City. Roger Bemking.Why we not prepare a specific wikiproject. We shine a light on something on English Wikipedia and people get involved. Wikiproject Women in red. Red take you to nothing. Missing women. We thought we would have 15 minutes of fame. It was july. who writes in july. 1000 new articles. 1. We only focus on new articles. Biographies. Their works. Women issues. We do not focus on improving articles. Subset of authors.2. no focus on the editor. we do not care about you (the editor). all gender to partecipate. It is a sociatel issue. let's have everyone to improve to it. We wanted to move the needle.I still create biographies about men. It's a low hanging fruit. we don't say not to do it.By consensus. No leaderships. No coordinators. I do the majority of conferences, interviews, presentations. One voice. Everything is discussed on our talk page. No charity, no telegram, no email... we converse on wiki. budget of zero. We do not want to deal we report. we just want to write articles. Biographies.I get those emails too. People write me to have my biographies. I reply: i do not focus on living people. I suggest to write a note. People who write about biographies in the wikiproject Women in red are editors who know how to write a biography not delated. a subgroup. we do not provide instructions. A focus area in which you become very good at it. Conversations are civil. Nasty things tha happens off wiki.
Tool feedback This is fantastic! I will certainly be using it. Leading section. I am doing an experiment. 715 biographies with a focus on women writers... now i'm looking at the lead session to see if i was lazy ;-) Chief product. the foundation has created a tool with genAI to take the info from the article to make a summery in a box. My project is using genAI to use improve the leads. Having a good lead session is vital. We spend one month to improve lead session. What did ypu ask genAI to make a good leading section. ORES ranking scoring??. An algorithm constantly updating itself gives each article a rating based on algorithm. it believes it is a stub, b, feature articles...and so on. Rating by color. numbic value. rating and class. I can see the evaluation in my cronology. and you can lear to gave the system. what can i do to change the rating? references, including the reference, image... I live by the ores rating. I would rarely create a stub unless i think it deserves to be there but i can not find other appropriate in size and type. gut feeling based on my histroy on wikipedia Improving a lead is easier than creating an article. useful for edit-a-thon. you don't need to find your references. Supporting new editors, avoiding negative experience.
