Advisory group

As part of the Hub pilot programme, running 2025-6, and to support the governance of the Hub, we formed an Advisory Group in late 2025. In the context of Hubs and Hub pilots, the VSN currently uses a "light-touch" governance approach, appropriate to the work that we do, and the Advisory Group is intended to support this.

Management team

Rupal Karia

Rupal has been the Outreach and Community Coordinator at Wikimedia UK since 2023 and also supports the administration of the Volunteer Supporters Network.

Robert Obiri

Robert is Project Lead for the new VSN node, and is an active member of the Wikimedia Ghana User Group. He is the Founder and Lead of the Fante Wikimedians Community and serves as a member of the Affiliations Committee and the Conference Grants Committee.

Vic Sfriso

Vic is one of the co-leads of the VSN, is the Head of the Community and Advocacy Program at Wikimedia Argentina since 2022, and the Head of Programs at Wikimedia LGBT+.

Sara Thomas

Sara is one of the co-leads of the VSN, and is a Programme Manager at Wikimedia UK. Prior to this she was Scotland Programme Coordinator for Wikimedia UK, and Wikimedian in Residence at Museums Galleries Scotland and the Scottish Library and Information Council.
