Please describe any experience you have with working in Wikipedia/Library. * For the past 5 years I'm part of the WLUG Steering committee. I was part of the Core Organizing Team and co-chair of the WIKILIBCON 2025 conference held in Mexico on January 2025.
What is your view on the development of our affiliation? My vision is to promote an active and vivid global WikiLibrarians community that will work together to advance the contribution of librarians knowledge and rich content held in libraries to the various Wikimedia projects.

I believe personal connections and inspiration drawn from activities around the world can encourage greater involvement of libraries and librarians in the free knowledge movement.

These are the key areas I believe the Steering Committee and the User Group should focus on in the coming years:

  1. Significantly improving the group's communication channels, strengthening its presence on social media, and updating the group's Meta pages.
  2. Offering training and enrichment opportunities, including a formal certification program
  3. Establishing regional and thematic working groups — for example, based on language, geographic region, or specific initiatives such as libraries contributions to Wikidata
  4. Collaborating on advocacy efforts aimed at library directors and decision-makers
  5. Organizing the third WIKILIBCON conference
