| What affiliate(s) are you actively involved with? In what capacity are you involved? Do you serve in a leadership role or have you in the past? | I am actively involved with the Dagbani Wikimedians User Group, where I serve as the Social Media and Outreach Manager. In this role, I help promote our activities, engage with the community, and support awareness campaigns to increase participation. I also assist in planning events and training sessions, helping to grow the group's impact both online and offline. | |
| Please describe any experience you have with working in Wikipedia/Library. | I have experience working on Wikipedia through the Dagbani Wikimedians User Group, where I contribute to creating and improving articles in the Dagbani language. I also help organize edit-a-thons and training sessions to teach new editors how to contribute. While I haven’t worked directly in a traditional library, I support knowledge sharing and digital access to information, similar to what libraries promote. | |
| What is your view on the development of our affiliation? | Our affiliation, the Dagbani Wikimedians User Group, has made great progress in promoting the Dagbani language and culture online. We've grown in membership, visibility, and partnerships, and have successfully organized impactful projects and events. However, there’s still room to expand our outreach, build more local collaborations, and strengthen sustainability. With continued dedication, we can become a leading example of indigenous language activism in the Wikimedia movement. | |
