What is your view on the development of our affiliation? I envision the development of our affiliation as a space that fosters collaborative, multilingual communities of practice, particularly encouraging librarians’ engagement with literary content on Wikipedia and its connection to structured data on Wikidata. This includes supporting deeper and more inclusive resource description practices that move beyond authority control, emphasizing discovery and context.
  • To sustain meaningful growth, I support the creation of transparent, community-based protocols that clarify group roles, ensure inclusive decision-making, and reflect the diverse priorities of libraries around the world. Regular communication with members and a shared action plan will help strengthen participation and long-term engagement.
  • Strategically, I believe we should build bridges with library associations and Wikimedia affiliates globally, and promote thematic initiatives —such as those seen in the EveryBookItsReader campaign— that highlight the potential of local partnerships. I also see value in developing resources on Wikidata and Wikibase focused on library-relevant topics, and in cultivating learning networks that empower librarians to actively contribute to the Wikimedia ecosystem.
  • Promote the development of a shared and consensual understanding of reliable sources for book-related articles, along with inclusive notability criteria that reflect literary diversity across cultures and languages.
